It's been quite noticeable in the last ten days how interest around the boards has slumped. My evidence is circumstantial as I have not done any sort of count up but it seems at a rough guess the number of posts has dropped by about 50%.On an allied note I bet Norway feel like we did after the Cardiff game only worse!

Without question CT, the Internationals kill my interest here. Well, that and the bloody stupid bickering <whistle>

The bickering only results from people being bored.
As my old mother(GRHS) always said "The Devil
    makes work for idle hands

These breaks really do break up the season,
and I feel that they do little to improve the
    quality of international games either.

i'd say it drops it by 75% rather than 50%. if we'd have failed to beat west ham i'm sure activity would be up CT!

it could be worse, i was on the swansea board the other day and it looks like WW3 has happenned on their board, with some users switching to a rival site. handbags

back to NCFC, other topics to comment on, the U21s lost 1-0 to arsenal, sounds like from the match report they were unlucky. did anyone go?

I don't know what the root cause is over there, but this happens quite often throughout the course of each season. Yes, we get some in-fighting here, often not helped with the intervention of trolls from down south, but nothing compared to what the Swans have.

Agree with what's already been said, though not counting the meaningless friendlies, which I did not bother with, but did anyone see the world cup play off games last night.

Croatia - despite having a man sent off before half time, were spraying it around with skill, guile and immense composure, you'd almost believe they had the extra man <yikes>
Luka Modric was pivotal in everything they did. So, as a fan of Croatia (the country) I was dead chuffed for them. <applause>

Then changed streams to see an absolutely remarkable, world class mastershow from fish face Ronaldo in a riveting game v Sweden. It finished Ronaldo 3 - Ibrahimovic 2 and was once again totally, utterly absorbing.

So Croatia, Greece, Portugal and France make up the last four for Brazil 2014 - the draw for the group stages is on Dec 6th <ok>

I watched the Sweden - Portugal game, as it wasn't a friendly and Olsson and Elmander were playing. Reminded me of City's games against Chelsea and Arsenal as Olsson was the defender caught out on the first break by Ronaldo. Snodgrass, Whittaker and Martin all played for Scotland, who defended well and scored on 50% of their shots (2). Norway looked impressive though.

What about that diabolical decision for France's 2nd goal.

The guy was a good yard offside, not even close.

The lino missed out and cost Ukraine big time.

Not that it should work like this, but Benzema had a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside minutes earlier, so they should have had a second goal before half time anyway.

Agree 100%. Hate the internationals, especially meaningless friendlies where both sides play 22 players in the course of the game.

Surely there must be some scope to shorten the season and have the national team meet up at either the beginning, end or both and have more of a concerted time together building properly. Then the season would flow better. I'm sure it would be OK commercially as if after the season has finished all the fans would already be scratching around for something else to do. And I'm sure Roy would love to have the players together from e.g. 20 April up to the start of the WC June 12th. We still couldn't win the blighter in a million years but we might not be quite so aweful!

    Bah!

Cant stand weekends when Norwich don't play. I normally do watch the England game but a Friday night does my head in. I like football being on a Saturday afternoon.

I actually found myself more interested in Ibrahimovic vs Ronaldo than the England games this week.

Ronaldo should win Ballon d'or by the way.

I was at the England Germany game yesterday and wished id stayed home and watched the Sweden Portugal match. However a free ticket and a chance to see my dad for the first time in months made up for bloody awful football.

Yes, I went and have regained the feeling in my fingers - it was ****** cold. I thought our under 21s played well and but for the Arsenal keeper playing a blinder (what is it with keepers when they play Norwich?? Friedel last season, Guzan and Marshall this???), we would have won quite easily. Arsenal did have a couple of players who've actually played for the 1st team, so no disgrace to lose 1-0.
