It's the Wendies next, away. If we lose again - then what? (Bearing in mind that SB was brought in to get us promotion....)
I didn't like Bruce or his appointment but chopping the managers is no solution thats why I was pissed off when Barmby went. This season will be another consolidation season and hopefully Bruce will take us up next season, I am on Bruces side as I think he has got some top players in even if the last three games have been dire. Midtable and I bet if it was the other two managers record after ten games people on here would be ranting.
Totally agree. Instability will only take us towards relegation. It's the Championship, even the best teams will have bad runs. 12th will be a good finish for a first season under a new manager.
Then we drop to about 14th. Seriously, as I said on another post, it's not that big a deal at this stage in the season. We need to iron out the kinks but honestly I'm a bit concerned that we are leaking goals like nobodies business. I'd expect to see us dipping into the loan market soon - it's what Brucey usually does when things are going pear shaped.
I'd settle for the Playoffs, maybe 7th if the football we play is alright. Leicester, Wolves, Cardiff and Blackpool are, I'm afraid to say, better teams than us, so there's no shame in finishing behind them. And yes, I did say Leicester.
I totally agree with this, and if Bruce can keep up his record of getting some class players in then that will make up for any tactical shortcomings he has as a manager.
Can i just say why should we accept 12th after last year finishing 8th, that attitude will see us slowly slip down this league. I am not advocating getting rid of Bruce and i completely disagree with anyone who says get rid, however we shouldn't accept 12th.
Safe. Not convinced by him yet and I was getting really tired of his 3-5-2 when it's weak links have been to obvious and exploited badly in 2 of the last 3 games but credit where it's due he went to 4-4-2 and we looked far better both going forwards and defending and tonight wasn't his fault. A scrappy free kick from one side to the other and that fancy haircut nancy boy showing he has less than half a brain like his the only way is Essex icons aren't his fault.
this is our 3rd season in the Championship since relegation from the PL.. we've finished 11th & 8th so we should be no worse than 8th IMO. If we finish worse than 8th then Barmby was the man.
Agree with that, considering the significant strengthening and calibre of players we've brought in anything less than 8th will be an epic failure.
This happens. In a few weeks we will start wining and take 3 or 4 in a row and then everyone will be thinking we are going to finish 1st or 2nd. It is just to early in the season.
I think the allams will suffer 3 defeats..... Paying 3 mill for a German striker, I think will cost Bruce his job
Bruce will be safe at the moment, its still early in the season. Hope the Allams dont panic, things will get better regards errors, then a bit of a run could happen and the last 3 games will be forgotten. We,ve got a decent team and he has done well bringing in players Prozzy aside (although he should come good )
The way its panning out they could have got a couple of players if not more for Prozzy which could have made the difference for us but there is that obsession with the big front man over here thats why we have had the likes of Adebola etc and many more over the years. I hope he comes good but theres got to be a few doubts really
