I think Rio should be in the middle, but both Onuoha and Caulker like to be on the right of the three. I suppose it's not so difficult for either to play the left but I'd want Rio bang in the middle. I don't know Isla well enough but why not. The big question for me is who plays left wingback. I'm thinking Yun. Second choice Traore.

And I'd prefer Hoilett in the hole and let Mutch fight for his place by coming on as sub and changing games.

Mutch is not a QPR number 10. I'd play him in CM with Faurlin. We need a number 10, fast.

As things stand, would you say Hoilett is the best fit for that spot? I can't think of anyone else. Although, maybe Ale could do a job there. I don't think Phillips has the dribbling skills because he takes players on with speed and he doesn't have the greatest distribution.

Problem is that Hoilett doesn't posess the vision to play the expansive No 10 role, he can play in the "hole" to run a defenders, but don't expect any slide rule passes.....

Ale is the fetcher and carrier for the more attack minded midfielders.....

Apart from swapping Caulker/Ferdinand positions that wouldn't be a bad starting line up.....

As things stand, I'd still pick Hoilett. His weakness in that position would be that he's not very good at putting over a short looped ball from the central position. But his short passing and holding up of the ball is good plus he can take on players and seems to do his best shooting from around that area; when he plays on the wing he usually comes in and shoots from there. He's able to put through decent through-balls, although he's not as good at that as some.

It's a shame we didn't keep either Krancjar or Benayoun! I think they could have done a job there, too.

By the way, this is not me saying that these players are the perfect pick for that position but I'm saying they could do a job there and maybe more.

Do we really need a No.10 if we play two up front? Does every other side in this division posses a No.10 of the quality we expect? I'm trying to think of what the other sides have in their armoury because quality No.10's seem pretty scarce.

I like watching great number 10s mate. It might not be vital for us, but man it adds to the entertainment. And to be fair to him Redknapp likes them too - sure that's why we got Morrison, Krancjar, Van der Vaart, Modric etc all featured in his teams. Now we seem to have ruled out the obvious choice, I would like a shiny new one please, but agree they are very hard to find.

    Let's get Sneijder.

Looks a good team to me... on paper

I simply don't know much about Mutch seems that everything is being left to the season start as this team hasn't ever played together maybe that's the new way... just drift into the season. Can't tell anything I expect until a few games into the season by then we will be engulfed and our simple opinions are bound to change.

Remy and Austin backed up with BZ and Hoilett/Phillips looks and sounds good as Remy is a natural goal machine

No doubt he has collected some good tools and even Flyer is pleased with the signings... I am too

We can but do our job and support the team. If Taarabt stays then of course i hope he gets his chance as I believe fully in him in a QPR shirt but he is a unique talent and once fit will play brilliantly in any team.

We look very Vauxhall at the moment but could grow to be a Saab

I agree, I like my no.10's too and would have at least one in our squad if it was down to me. My post looks like it was somewhat confrontational after reading it back, it was not intended that way. It was a genuine question and probably me thinking out loud about how to remedy the situation if we don't get anyone in. It's frustrating that our present incumbent doesn't love us anymore as he's already in place and wouldn't cost us anything.

Sneijder would be a great addition. My personal favourite would be your Xherdan Shaqiri, but signing players of this calibre is no more than a pipe dream until we can become an established top flight side. Perhaps someone like Shaun Maloney is a more realistic target unless we can loan one in again.
