How much will we spend?

    With Pardew coming out and saying all the £35 million will be invested into the 'squad' how much do you think we will spend in the summer?

    Personally i think no more than £15 million.

    Just thought we all might have a guess, then we can look back at this in september and be pleasently suprised or pissed off that we were suckers.

    More than people think i feel.

    We will have a few players going off the books (Xisco, Smith maybe and Carroll's already gone) so that will free up wages. So i think that a larger portion of the 35m will go to players.

    Read 'think' as 'hope'.

    Also, someone else has stated that this could be a ploy so other teams don't assume we have masses of money and inflate their prices... Clutching at straws, but i'm choosing to beleive it.

    Not sure. I reckon £5mill on making Ireland permanent (which Pardew seems to want to do). Other than that, I reckon about another 10mill or so on players, and another 2-3 on facilities, staff etc. and some put into the youth academy.

    That would leave Mike Ashley about £15,000,000 to spend on Greggs pasties and extra, extra, extra, extra, extra,extra large waistline trousers.

    £18-20 million is my guess. This includes any funds generated by 1-2 players leaving. This leaves around £15 million being used with the running costs of the club and possibly being set aside for future wages.

    All spent on one player who we will then loan out the season after because they turned out to have the touch of a rapist, then eventually selling them to an Italian lower league team for £5.4m.

    I'm the optimistic type you see.

    3-4 mill on chicken bakes, around 10 million on sausage rolls, 8+mil on sausage and bean melts and the rest on doughnuts

    15-20m I reckon, though probs only about 10-12 will go on transfer fees.

    HAving said that, it'll be completely dependant on whether Joey and Jose re-sign!

    presuming tiote will do a carroll and ask to leave.
    I think Enrique will go however, the hype surrounding him appears to have gave him some sort of over confident 'im too good for this' approach resulting in a ****e performance before injury spared further blushes against Everton

    Don't know if i'm just feeling optimistic today but I think we may spend £20m to £25m as it stands. Maybe more if we need replacements for Barton and/or Enrique.
