Interesting thread about this on Twitter today, with varied predictions ranging from £10m () to £250,000 (me). Factors to consider - Taylor is nearly 30 He has six months left on his contract Other clubs know Duchatelet would sell his own penis for a couple of Euros. Previous January’s haven’t gone well under this owner Predictions on the Taylor transfer fee then ?
This injury changes everything. Our medical department hasn't got the greatest record of successfully rehabilitating injured players, so there's no guarantee he'll come back the same player. He may well take his chances the same as Aribo did, hoping to play well enough in the second half of the season to get himself a decent offer.
I think he will start against Millwall, he will last 18 minutes before being subbed due to pain in his knee. He will then reappear (for Charlton) some time in February 2020
If he goes it will be below 1m, as his contract is almost up. So it depends on the injury. @DickPlumb implied he was given an offer way below what he could get elsewhere, and there seems no rush by Charlton to give him something similar. To be honest, what we Will get Will be peanuts in comparison to his goasl and work rate on the pitch, so I'd rather see him go for free at the end of the season. At least he'd be wearing a Charlton shirt for another couple of months.
I don't think Taylor will be sold in January either. LT will leave at the end of the season, and so will Bowyer unless Charlton finish in the top 6.
Yep, Taylor will refuse to leave and sign a pre-contract agreement elsewhere. It will be more beneficial to him financially, and Dushitelet gets zero dough.
