In this day and age managers are being sacked at will without imo being given sufficient time to prove themselves. The question therefore arises how much time do you guys reckon a manager ought to have. Obviously there isn't a fixed answer but i varies across the multiple teams constituting the league. It depends on the finances, status of the club, recent history etc but in general it may be subdivided into top four clubs, trophy winning clubs (sorry but i don't include the carling and fa cup though thats subjective), mid table teams, relegation candidates and possibly teams with financial impetus. So how much time should a premier league manager of such teams be given to prove themselves and on what basis should they be judged.
just my opinion like i said its subjective. i said it bcse i feel its to a large extent based on the luck of the draw.
cl, europa, prem....just to make things clear though i don't consider trophies as important as most people do i'm more than satisfied being in the top four on a consistent basis....no seriously!
thats a good point though if they do gain access to the europa league via the fair play league i would count it as an achievement to have won it.
I'd say that most seasons that teams who are in the CL not the Europa League are in the process of winning their domestic leagues
