I'm not going to ask if things can get any worse this time as I know they can and probably will. What you believe probably depends on where you get your news, there are so many conflicting reports. For instance this morning I heard on BBC radio Devon that the ginger one had pulled out of of his bid to buy Argyle, then this evening I find this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_3/default.stm my source? The BBC - who else? The latest instalment of bollocks to hit us (ITV local news) is that we have 5 new bidders to throw their hats into the ring (erm why wait until the 11th hour?) including (wait for it) Michael Jackson's ex bodyguard - well I guess he made a balls up of his last job, oh and also Uri Geller!!! Maybe he could bend the goalposts wide enough to assist Feeney & co. Terry George was another name mentioned and this guy: http://www.itv.com/westcountry-west/new-argyle-bidder58935/ who I liked the sound of. BUT as encouraging as (some of) this sounds isn't it a little too late to be thinking of new bids? I can't help wondering how much more the FL will take before taking the easy option and winding us up. Personally I think Friday could be cutting off point and if not Friday then definately the end of this month when the players and other staff will be due another payment, poor sods! Another thing i heard this morning on radio Devon is that Brent will make his decision on Friday so I think we are nearing the end one way or another. I also think that Argyle winding up is still a very real possability and hinges on Brent's decision Friday. Listening to Sparksy talk about it on RD this morning - he sounded really fed up and weary of all the speculation in fact he sounded exactly how we are all feeling. Seriously when will it all end? Wouldn't it be better to put the wounded animal out of it's misery and start a new club owned by fans. We would have to start from scratch I know but we are nearing oblivion anyway aren't we? AFC Plymouth Argyle anyone?
No, I'll still settle for PAFC as it stands thank you. Why do people do it to themselves I have to ask. By that I mean give any credence to anything they read or hear. We have been saved, lost, saved again, bought, not bought, had loads of bidders,no bidders, wound up not wound up and god knows what else. Have we learned nothing in all of that process? Clearly not. The simple fact is that none of us know anything and to be honest neither do the rest of them not even the Administrator. I take very little notice of any of it anymore.
sensible, it's not a case of "doing it to ourselves" I didn't tune into RD, it happens to wake me up mornings (well middle of the night more like) and during the course of the morning sometimes when there are developments Argyle inevetably gets discussed. Even the BBC website link I gave I actually came across looking to last night's results to do the PL, it's unavoidable!
The words were "give credence to" in terms of do it to themselves. It is unavoidable to hear or see but why even think about it is what I mean or believe any of what you do see or hear. I've already listed the twist and turns and half of it has no substance whatsoever but was given life by exageration and rumour. I refuse to believe anything as I said elsewhere until the dotted line is signed and the Administrator is on the train leaving platform 7.
Even Sparksy is fed up is he?,so I'm not the only one.Heard tonight Pilgrim Pete had to be talked down from the roof of the Mayflower.
Anyway on that cheery note I'll say goodnight and await the next exciting installment tomorrow morning coutesy of radio Devon. Sweet dreams greens
Yep less than 5 miles away, tend to go and cheer on the Gulls when Argyle play (lose) away.Guess they are my second club, been watching them for a few years, but it's weird now they are in the same league as us (with a better team).Still the atmosphere is generally **** at Plainmoor compared to Home Park. Can't even contemplate having no Argyle. Argyle till I die as they say.
