can we give Fletch and Ro the managerial reign?James Brent has come out this morning and said basically Fletch is an experienced good player, but a young inexperienced manager who needs to prove himself-this is true. While I also admire Fletcher as a player and someone who is clearly passionate about Argyle (as is Larieu) I truly believe he will not be able to juggle the demands of playing and managing despite his obvious attributes. The last two performances were poor and last night lamentable-the tactics were wrong, long passes to the limited Feeney, easily cancelled out by part time defenders. The discipine has gone, the morale and self confidence blown away,we can't defend or score. All this adds up to relegation unless there is a change. My point is Fletch either plays or manages-not both.We will see.
He had a contract as a player before the club ASKED him to step up to manager. It was their decision, which doesn't look an awfully good one but I don't see why Fletcher should lose everything because he did what he was asked.
