If players were sold every time they had a bad game, there'd be no professional football being played. No knee jerk reaction from me, very happy with Evans overall, and Welbeck is a good squad player who offers something different to our other strikers. No, not just a lack of goals, i mean his physicality, speed and dribbling ability.
24million for the pair and a clause in welbecks contract for us to buy him back for 18million at any point.
Would love them for £22 Million, good Premier but maybe not Champions League. O'Shea and Wesley have been great for S'land, kept us up and still show that quality.
This. I think Evans will do fine once we get a settled defence where he isn't the only experienced player. Welbeck isn't top quality, but he's fine as a third choice striker imo. No point selling him for the sake of it - who could we get who'd be better and happy to be third choice? Torres? Borini?
