we really have to have a selling point for these type of players too come to us as ultimately other clubs in europe would be bidding.

What about that Gingac, i know he signed for marseille in the summer but he is a good talget striker.

We should try to poach a great up and coming youngster, Neymar for 20million!

I think we could really spend big if we finish top half.

On the other hand. judging by Mr. Shorts interview, it may not be Brucie's money to spend.
Short expected us to finish top 10 last year,( he admitted being maybe a little optimistic).
will he be so forgiving to Bruce if we fail again this year?. I'm not so sure?

    EDIT
I might add that i do still feel confident of finishing top half, also that i would stick with Bruce even if we didn't

FFS, don't mention Gignac, you'll have BB drooling again.

Think we might all need to calm down a little. The likes of Hulk, Neymar and Cavani... Opening ourselves up to abuse for being deluded.

None of the players mentioned in this thread will go to a mid table club for ****s sake. Wise up.

Let's be taken aback when we sign whoever we sign. The last few seasons we keep getting better quality players so long may it continue. I still hope that we can turn the corner from being a Club that would be delighted to still be a Premier League outfit (as a fan I am) to being a Club that aquires a bit of a ruthless streak about having season by season improvement in results.

Not about dreaming. Dreaming without a solid base puts you where Portsmouth, Leeds and Newcastle have all gone recently.

Wellbeck and Zog would be great.

Neymar is going to be the best striker in the World IMO I have only seen clips of the lad but he looks outstanding

didn't Chelsea have a bid of over 30m rejected for him last season and he is only in his teens, would love to see him in the prem but it will never be with us unless Short decided to sell and we ended up the new Man City

no big signing imo, consolidating loan deals will eat any bent money if we can get them all, what you see is what we got

Dreaming with signings like those lads, if you beleive todays papers its Bendtner. Not a bad siging for us really as he scores goals and is good in the air and he did have a poor touch for the Barca game but how many times will he be playing in the Champions League quarter finals in the Nou Camp with Sunderland? haha

In an ideal world I would "replace" Bent with Welbeck on a permanent deal if at all possible. I feel that he and Gyan work very well together, and with Campbell returning to offer some competition. Add to that maybe an up and coming player from the lower leagues, or even a similar loan deal to that of Welbeck's existing one. That should stand us in good stead.

If we can get Muntari and Onuoha on top of this I would be very happy. Anything extra on top then a left back IMO.
