Figures quoted re SKY income is just under £30mil initially-but is this taxed? That would mean a 50% reduction in real terms so £15mil 3.5 on Graham, increased wages and new contracts would leave what exactly? Any ideas?
It's profit that's taxed, not income. In any case, corporation tax is nowhere near 50%, so not sure where you get your figures from.
Only the board know what they have available to spend and what they are actually willing to spend. Money has to be put aside for the academy, stadium extension, etc. In reality BR is talking about getting another 3-4 players, so maybe another £5m to spend on transfers, give or take a bit.
Corporation tax is about 25% of profits, but as a business they will try and write off everything they can against taxes, that is standard practice and that is why they need very good accountants. As for money spent in transfers I would say £5m would be the very upper limit of that, but let's see if we sign stockdale on loan first, or buy camp , we haven't filled the number spot as yet, so it suggests whoever we sign will come in as first choice.
