Only Mario Balotelli could go for a curry that may cost him â¬175,000, plus a few Euro for the poppadoms. The Manchester City striker, who could start against Chelsea tonight at Stamford Bridge, was spotted out on the town in Manchester with his girlfriend Rafaella Fico on Saturday night having a curry. The problem for Mario was not that he went for the spicy Indian, it was the fact that he was not supposed to be out anywhere 48 hours before a game and now the club are threatening to fine him â¬175,000. We are sure players sneak out for a meal with the missus 48 hours before game all the time, and maybe get up to much worse than Mario, but they probably try and keep a low profile. Not our Mario. It is reported in todayâs Irish Daily Star that the crazy Italian staged a mock fight with a rolling pin in the restaurant, making sure everybody knew he was there. Word of the night out filtered back to the club, of course, and they are now considering disciplinary action, and a massive fine, for the Italian. Again, like Marioâs stories, it is all in good fun and childish but you have to think the powers that be at City might be getting sick of him. We arenât though so keep up the good work Mario. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/537837144?-1808
You gotta love him He came across like he hates living in England when he was interviewed at the beginning of the season - he seems to be having a whale of a time now though...
seems a bit excessive and tbh i don't like that we are fining all our players. Dressing room morale must be a bit rough between Tevez, champs league exit and Kolo being fined.
Watch Ask Mario. When I watched it the first time and they got to the Christmas party question l laughed out loud when he answered - http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Video/Interviews/askmario
