All the talk is of Fletcher deal being all done with the paper work just to complete and then there is MoN talking about Johnson today saying we are working hard on it but apart from those two how many more do we need?

    3 or 4 IMO

    left back
    right back
    centre forward
    creative central midfielder

Would be nice to get all of those Poolie, but reckon it may only be two more. We're in talks with AJ now, according to Sky Sports transfer page

All over Sky Sports now this Johnson story, it's got legs. Very decent signing if you pull it off!

Not sure. Think, Gardener and Colback could be our long term fullbacks and if (when) we get AJ. Larsson's position is a goner. So he may well be forced inside instead of Catts/Colback, Catts/Larsson or Colback /Larsson sounds a lot more creative. Either way things are looking good in midfield and forward line.

I said it before but I think there is still a couple of surprises left in this window for us.. I heard a rumour about a private bid made for sturidge yesterday but not sure if that has legs, but I reckon we will bring in another centre forward before next Friday. Fletcher is a great signing but I think MoN has brought him in as his target man.. He likes to play little and large and he has already said he doesn't see sess as a striker so I think we could see a striker with pace and trickery come in too..

Johnson and Fletcher would work great together, Sturridge is an exellent player as is Berbatov, but we have to go 3-5-2 in most matches now at home, we need to be dominating the midfield.

I'm not convinced we need a creative central midfielder if we can find a system that incorporates McClean, Larsson, Sess & Johnson (if he signs and that is a big IF IMO)

Agree, would rather have another striker.
