Two away games coming up which I'm looking forward to, Forest and the Wendies. With our squad we should in my view be looking to potentially win both but suspect Brucey in his wisdom will be planning to keep the one point we start with rather than looking for the three on offer in each game. Hope i'm wrong but i'm forecasting two points from the two games. Also Maloney must start against the Florists surely?
After 2 home draws we need to be aiming for 4 points from our next two games. Maloney should start for me and I don't think we can afford the luxury of both Hudd and Diame in midfield so either Meyler or LIvermore should replace on of them.
After our last away outing I think we should be looking to bring home all 6 points. We have a decent record against both. Will also get us back on track and give us some momentum going into potentially a promotion clash with Ipswich.
Livermore for Huddlestone for me, Diame won't have too many quiet games like the last one. Bruce won't drop Huddlestone though so it will be more of the same
Just watched the Palace v Watford game. Fast paced attacking football. Just reminds me how much our style has changed since Bruce took over. I remember being at the KC when we thrashed Watford 4-0 to get to Wembley and Windass' moment of glory. If we only manage 2 points (or less) from Forest and the Wendies with the same depressing defensive football we've been playing BRUCE HAS TO GO. This has gone on long enough. He can't change. So lets have Livermore and Maloney in from the start!!
I'd give Tom a rest and raise the tempo a notch! Blackburn found it easy to close us down with our slow build up!
I think we'll get all 6 points! Worst case 4! I have a feeling we'll just be too good for both of them with our 352 away tactics!
3pts from two tough away games would be good, everybody is talking about the midfield we all know the balance is not right I would bring in Maloney and Livermore, then you have Clucas who is playing well, Diame who would normally be first on the team sheet however his long time out looked to have caught up with him on Saturday, Elmo who has the pace but looks better as a wing back running from deep, Huddlestone hardly ever loses the ball but seems to slow the game down then you have Myler who brings height and work rate to the team but spoils it sometimes giving the ball away. Something as to change I would rest Tom and on Saturdays showing it would be Diame however I would give him another chance and go Maloney, Clucas, Diame and Livermore and if Diame is looking tired again bring Elmo on and move Livermore to the middle. Has for the rest of the team Robertson who as great work rate needs to improve on his crossing and Akpom who linked up play well but I think he will only get the team 5 or 6 goals a season lets not forget both are young lads and may be a bit inconsistent.
We need to be looking at taking all 6 points, or at least 4. They're tough but also two very winnable games and it would be nice to see us be more adventurous and punishing teams. A statement of intent must be shown.
Is there a prize for this? No one's said 5 yet. I'm going 5. Anyone else who reckons 5, **** off. I said it first.
