I was just looking through last seasons league one table to see how many points the 20th placed team (Walsall) had that ensured they stayed up.

They had 48 points with 12 wins and 12 draws.

Based on the assumption that we would need a similar amount of points and wins and draws we need a further 22 points 5 wins and 7 draws and with the remaining games do you think that is acheivable?

Effectively what i am saying is with a third of the season remaining will we stay up?

I hope i am wrong and i am a pessimist by nature but i think we'll get another 15 points taking us to 41 not quite enough i reckon

There was a thread discussing this before the sheff utd game. At that point I had us down to pick up 16 more points. Which isn't enough and also included a win against yeovil.

    Sadly it's not looking good

Obviosuly each season is different. We need to go on a bit of a run of, say, 4 games without getting beat to get some confidence. The main prob at the moment is we seem to win a game then lose 3! I dont like doing the whole 'must win' game cliche but id say we need to win our next couple of games to have a chance or, im afraid, the writing seems to be on the wall.

Walsall, Hartlepool, Scunthorpe, Leyton Orient, colchester, bury, exeter are the next 7 games for get the remaining games after that this period is definitive if we are to stay up.
