Having been confident of avoiding a relegation battle, i'm now less than confident and am desperately looking over our shoulder at the clubs below. We're 10 points from the relegation zone but with our run of form, that's only 4 games! We have the worst record in all 4 divisions in 2019 and despite playing decent football, we flatter to deceive and are letting in far too many goals. So what is the magic number? How many more points do we need to be safe? I know it's pure speculation at the moment but the way i'm feeling after our recent run, i need something to hold on to. Someone reach out and give me hope!!
15 games to go, but we have to bare in mind the teams below us won't be winning every week. I reckon 3 wins should do it. Not impossible but it'll require a lot better than we've seen recently. Cameron and Rangel returning will be great, but I reckon they won't be the solution to all our problems.
I think the bottom three will go down, we're 10, 13 and 19 points clear of them with a game in hand. I reckon 48 points should be more than enough, if we can't get 9 points from 14 games we deserve to go down after being three points off the play-offs at the end of last year...
This season (as long as get close to 50 points). Next season we'll be amongst the favourites if we let lots go & don't adequately replace.
After the accounts came out this week next season looks frankly terrifying. All of our loan players will be gone which by my count leaves us with 1 striker. Assets will be sold, if we keep Freeman through another window it would be a miracle. Would we take Rangel for another season? I have some slight fear this season but next season doesn't bear thinking about.
Plenty of time for worrying about next season next season, a lot of water to flow under the loft before that, after our woeful start this season (still reflected in our GD) I was expecting relegation, then we clawed our way back and many tipped us for a play off spot, now we’re slipping but we do have that 10 point cushion which as Sooper says if that’s not enough to keep us up then we don’t deserve to survive.
