Grounds, have you been to?

How did you rate them, taking everything into consideration.


Also best and worst away fans?

 

Been to all of them barring St Marys, the Vitality, The London Stadium and Swansea.

The best overall is probably OT for me. The Emirates is a great stadium but a bit soulless.

Best away fans in terms of how they support their team, probably West Ham. Worst fans for me are the mutants from Stoke.

 

You been to many of the now championship grounds?

 

Yeah most of them over the years mate, largely when those clubs were in the top flight, and some cup games etc.

My favourite away was always Forest, great club and great fans imo. I always used to like Weds, and despite not liking the club Villa is a great old ground.

Birmingham is a ****ty away, I wouldn't go there again tbh. Scruffy ****s.

 

Not done many in the Prem. Only started aways last May for first time in years and years due to going to games on my tod.

Have done Bournemouth, Arsenal & Spurs. Also Upton Park but that's gone now.

Goodison on list for next year.

Outside PL done Millwall, Brentford, Bristol City, Gillingham, Coventry, Forest, Brighton (withdean) and the San Siro.

Noisiest away fans of current PL teams probs United. Leeds and espescially Villa always very loud though.

 

Been to Forest a few times. Agree always liked going there.

How did you find the SOL?

 

Used to love going there.

Seen us lose 6-0

 

I enjoyed Forest too... had a cracking burger outside there and the fans are a good crack.

 

Love the way you just casually slipped San Siro in. .

It's a non PL ground isn't it?

 

I stopped going when they made them all seater, if we were losing 4-0 we could just dance around the terraces, nowadays you gotta sit and watch the horror show, no doing the hokey-cokey or a big conga to amuse yourselves.

 

Alright in the main, not been for a couple of years though.

 

Don't think I've ever sat down at an away.

Blimey, turns out I've only been to United, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs and Swansea's current grounds.

I have been to Arsenal, City, Leicester City, Saints, Sunderland, Boro and Stoke's old grounds though.

Been to way more grounds in the championship, and league 1, which to me shows how the top division has evolved over the premier league years.

 

Notable Grounds I have been to (not all PL grounds currently though): Stamford Bridge, Vitality Stadium (Though it was called the Fitness First Stadium at the time), St marys, White Hart Lane, Loftus Road, St james' park, Villa Park, The Britannia, Pride Park, The Madjeski, Elland Road, Selhurst park

Old Grounds I have been to : Highbury, The Dell, Maine Road. EDIT: Oh and Philbert Street

 

Forgot about Madjeski... been there too.

Actually went to the Allianz Arean last weekend aswell, though not to watch a game. Was in Munich on business and decided to have a trek around.
Had a look around though, it glows red at night, looks pretty cool
