7/10 is deemed as good scouting

    Can't be arsed to:
    A) go through each signing over the last 3 years
    b) decide on the criteria for what is a good/bad signing

Hernandez hasn't had a chance, people said the same about Proschwitz but he was amazing against Everton, he showed potential, were as the big German showed nothing. Ben Arfa, if you get him to play he is a world beater. It's just getting him to play that is the problem, and he's a huge twat, you really didn't need a scout to know that.

Ramirez, again has showed glimpses of something special, Chelsea and Sunderland games spring to mind, but him and Ben Arfa were throw of the dice last day loan signings just because they were available, you can't fault the scouts for them.

Noticed you didn't include our success stories of players that our scouts have found in the past 5 years or so. (Not sure how long our current scouts have been at the club though) How about Chester, Evans(decent player for our level at the time), Brady, Quinn, N'Doye (Master-stroke that has almost kept us up, yes Bruce had tracked him previously but our scouts will of had a report on him prior to him signings for us), Robertson, Maguire, to name just a few.

Boyd wasn't free, we paid a £250k loan fee(which was effectively his fee), but I seem to remember we had to pay another £500k when we were promoted.

Quinn was only a few hundred grand.

He seems to do a lot better when buying domestically. Proschwitz and Hernandez in particular just blatantly don't fit the mould of striker we needed at the time, both have the enormous flaw which is the lack of fight and desire required for English football.
