Been reading recently that both clubs are looking to spend around the £25m mark on transfers, that sounds about right to me. With Cornelius and Ince that's most of it gone for the other lot. Not much left for strengthening elsewhere. Still that's their business. We can spend the majority of our money on strikers knowing that the first teamers are already competitive in the Premiership (hence the final league position), but we also have the advantage of more experience and more strength in depth than we've EVER had before. This summer has really answered questions raised at the close of last season like; 'Will we sign anyone?' - Yes. Lots. 'Will we finally be able to make a proper Premiership marquee signing?' - Looking good for Bony. Also nice to be linked with Gomis etc who are top strikers. 'Will Laudrup be here?' - Yes again. Sorted. Plus I've heard nothing about bloody agents for a few weeks and it's all gone back to business as usual. I was excited about this season right at the death of last season but it's already surpassing my expectations. Come on you Swans! Here's to a (relatively) quiet board.
