How many games do you get to a year? For me 5000+ miles round trip, so only get to 1 maybe 2 games every 3/4 years , last game for me was against Arsenal 2008. 1-1 belting game robbed of all 3 points in injury time if i remember correctly. p.s. first time trying a poll so if it doesn't work, BOLLOCKS, someone point me in the proper direction please edit: got it, more tech savvy then i thought
I should point out that despite having a 100%home record this season, and being home for Chelsea, i am likely to make a mere 8-10 home games this season..
1, if I'm lucky. It should be better next season as I'll be in England for uni, but I'm just hoping I get to see a game this season.
usually get one in at christmas/new year and one during the easter holidays. Only downside of moving away for uni
The wife has never been and i know she would LOVE it. She supports an equally frustrating baseball team ( Seattle Mariners). If i can scrounge the money together this year we will be over May ish when the weather is better, get her hooked then maybe she would contemplate a move. Doubt it like, can always dream!
4-8 games a season - 300+ round trip for me. depends on how they are doing i was goona do quite a few towards the back-end of last season as we pushed for "yewrope" - but because of the run, I just didn't bother. I BLAME BENT - TOTAL TO$$ER Bart
Unfortunately I've never been to any home games I'm only 22 and have lived in Norfolk my whole life, never had the money to justify a round trip to Sunderland, not to mention having noone to go with. I support them due to my stepdad who moved in with us when I was 3 but he's not that big of a follower unfrtunately. I have gone to every game vs Norwich since I can remember, though there hasn't been many.. Really hoping the canaries stay up this year!
Just upped my 2 season tickets for the new season and then took on a new job so will be lucky to take in 6 games this year, sick as ****, but will be home for Chelsea and Stoke.
For myself and my lad it's every home game since '07/'08 season. The finances mean that i can only target a few away games each year, and that then brings into play my loyalty pts total (or rather lack of them) so it's blooming difficult for us to get to as many as I could/would like.
I would have made it to the first 3 home games this season but thanks to some brilliant planning by SAFC I wont make the stoke game now because I am doing the Great North run. I hope to make a few more this season because I can get my brother to cover my Sat night DJ'ing so I think I am going to aim for 1 home game a month and then I will do all the local away games: Villa, West Brom, Wolves, Stoke. a few years ago when I have a different job I went to every home and some away even though its a 400 mile round trip.
Get to about 6 - 8 home games and about 5 - 6 away all down to work and not distance. Luckily I have a weekend residence in Manchester hence the away games (Utd, City, Liverpool, Blackburn, Everton) and a couple in London.
Season card holder so every home game and down the pub to watch 90% of away games. Into my 37th season and although its been a good few years since I actually travelled to away games, from 1984 to about 1999, me and the lads never missed home & away. Its the reason my points of view are always so balanced, informed and rarely inflamatory. What I say goes. No point in questioning it really when you think about it. Oh, and I am NEVER wrong but if you disagree I'll "scweem and scweem and scweem"!!!!! All the best. An attention seeking whore (and Mag bater supreme).
Every home game and the odd away. I think I'm lucky enough to have only missed 4 league home games since 97/98. Watford at home in the prem think we won 2-0 skp with both one being a stunning curler in the top corner, 2nd game of the season after the 105 point season, had gastroentoritis and couldn't stop spewing, bad times. Coventry in championship under keane, think dwight yorke scored a headed winner and then Man City and Arsenal last year.
Every home game and most away. My son lives in London so when possible i go down and make a weekend of it.
Only a few games for me I'm afraid. If we are at home when I visit relatives in NE, I try to get to the match. But the cost of flights is going up all the time, so not sure what I'll manage this season.
