All of the old ones, eg: The Baseball Ground at Derby County, but not Pride Park. I doubt I would recognise some places now, that I visited in my heyday.

I was of the generation of rickety old wooden stands, terraces that were wide open to the elements and seated accommodation that left great big horrible splinters in yer bum.

The worst ground anywhere that I ever visited was Millwall's old Den. It stunk of urine and visiting fans were allocated a tiny corner of the ground, most of which was behind a bloody great floodlight pylon so nobody could see the game. When The Den was demolished the local council vastly improved the site by putting up a public toilet.

My favourite ground to visit was Bury (when they were a Division Two team in the 1960's). I can't think why. I just liked the place.

Best meat pie was not at an English second tier club but the pies were soooooo good (and the Bovril was to die for) that mention must be made. East End Park, home of Dunfermline Athletic between 1977 - 1979, when I was based at Rosyth during my military service. The hot dogs at Norwich were pretty good, but nothing at any football ground anywhere in the world has come close to those pies at Dunfermline. Go Pars..!!
