MM is quoted today as saying, "It was a point gained." Against Alderbluddyshot! Reformed around 1992 and recently out of the Conference! A home game and only Bevan (Walker hasn't disappointed) and Woodards injured. I appreciate we've had an awful start and it was imperative to get some points on the board; but a point gained! My expectations are now subterranean.
I genuinely feel sorry for the gash now. It was so much easier to hate you when you were deluded fools. Now you are starting to realise how your board have let you down time and time again and never invested any money in the club. You have had some good strikers over the last 10 or 15 years that all got sold for good money. Where the hell did that go?
on paper its a massive 2 points dropped. look at the teams in our league and on paper we should walk this league. he have one of the best gates, one of the best wage budgets, money to spend after the sell of carayol and zebroski and money for lambert reaching the prem, and we got the best manager in our league. so whats the problem then? answer.... we dont play on paper.
Rumours coming out of the gas are that Cian Bolger was fearing his injury was much less serious than expected and he may have been forced to play again for the Gas, possibly within weeks. So he threw himself down the stairs at home to make double sure.
Theres only one pile of **** in Bristol and its all stinking up North Bristol. No wonder Lansdown cant wait to get the rugby club back to the south of the City where the nice people live....
Don't think so banksy..............Firstly he's put up a not inconsiderable amount of money to improve our pitch at the Mem...oh, sorry, that was the Rugby club which did that! Secondly he's involved with the financial investment side of UWE.....and what's a big investment by them? Don't forget he's primarily a businessman...and the UWE/Rovers link is a winner!
You're right. He's probably waiting patiently (like a good businessman) until Nick Higgs (a bad businessman) royally ****s up with something (probably funding) and steps in to grab a home back for Bristol Rugby. UWE / Bristol rugby link is a winner like you say and wont be tarnished with league 2 also rans and the 'football crowd' issues that will arise.. You could be on to something....
