How long do you think it will take on Radio Solent before they say it makes a change to do an interview with a Southampton manager in English?
I thought I'd miss the quirky nature of an interpreter inbetween the manager and media, but Ronald has put that to bed. Every picture I see of Pochettino [saying Poch is far too cosy] annoys me alarmingly and I kind of miss David Salas. Besides, Ronald's delivery is Dutch enough to require just a wee bit of concentration. Do we have an insulting name for Pochettino..?
Saw a quote from Pochettino, giving an interview at Spuds, saying he was speaking English "out of respect for the fans". So, if we had been worthy, of his respect, he might have spoken English sooner. It's all our fault.
Explains why David Salas got the translation wrong sometimes. David was translating Castilian, whereas he needed to speak weasel.

Loved the optimism when he was ours, but find the same approach somewhat irritating when talking about Readiing. Some ex-players and managers show real class like Rickie and the statement on the Celtic board from Fraser. Others not so much.
Who will Merrington be most disapointed with? The players leaving or the club for not holding on to them?
Ahh, the sound of Dave's voice. A surer sign of autumn than falling leaves. Dave M is always disappointed, he was born jaded and it sort of went downhill from then. Hard for him last season, sadly he may enjoy this one more.
