........is it since were were 4th in the Championship table,had a plus 4 goal difference,were the Championship leagues 2nd highest goal scorers,scored 4 goals in 2 consecutive games and there were 65 league places between us and the "gas"....... ......this season get's better and better...Up the City..
Wiz, the enthusiasm cup is bubbling over! I'm also thrilled with our start but it's still very early days and my feet are firmly on the ground, despite hurricane Isaac's best efforts to knock me to the ground here in Florida. The next couple of games are good barometers of our progress. Barnsley away is not a done deal. They've had a crappy start and will want to get their season on track quickly. Most of us are expecting a win but we'll have to work for it. Blackburn will be a good test as they still have some quality players and should be in the upper deck of the table at the end of the season. Our main problems last year were a leaky defence and a complete lack of goal production. So far we seem to have an answer for the latter but the defence is still a bit of a concern. Maybe it won't matter as we will win games 4-3 rather than 1-0. The one thing for sure is that we're a far more attractive proposition this year and the Not606 board should be buzzing with comments after each game rather than the gloom of last season.
As a Wolves said to me, it might be early days but remember how hard it was to try a catch up the last few seasons. Yes my feet are on the ground still don't think we will get to playoffs this year. But as long as we compete against these teams I'm happy. Lot better than rolling over and die like we did previously. And yes we might be a dark horse, but this ain't a easy league so I would be happy with mid table

. well we need to because looking at how our fixtures pan out this year it is unlikely to be so kind again ....soon! The last 3 seasons we have had some real stinker run of fixtures especially after Christmas 2011 when I didnt expect us to get a point! from 8 games. this season we will be above average, last 3 been (well) below average. it makes a big difference who you play and when, and we still have this unknown to conquer...crap team suddenly wins 2 or 3 on the trot etc etc before dropping the next 15points, or been playing crap and then going on to win the the division ! We are in a powerful position at the moment , I know it is only 3 games but already enough teams have to win one and draw one to better us...and that is us losing 2 on the trot! if we drew 5 and lost 19 we would finish on points close to top 6...probably 70 will do it
