A strike force of Gyan, Welbeck, Bent and Campbell

The quality of Steed in the midfield

    The raw talent of Henderson

A group of centre backs containing the impressive when available John Mensh

Being able to bring in quality players like Sess and Muntari in the Jan transfer window.

A good squad with some very good individuals!

    -------------------------------------------------------------

Not trying to be to negative but isn't it time we signed someone quality to improve our squad instead of adding more average. If its true and we get Collins and Warnock the are those two really going to improve us? I would rather have Anton back than Collins and as for Warnock is would be behind Colback and Richardson IMO the lads been poor and it's no surprise Villa want rid.

I am fully behind MoN before people start but surely we are looking at quality rather than quality or are the days of the Bents, Gyan's over? If so bye bye Sess, he ain't gunna stay to be with aload of average plodder when some really good sides are sniffing around.

MoN wont ever build a team out of superstars. He will get the team playing for each other and the fans. Look at Villa. Had them in 6th 3 years in a row... how many Villans would love to taste that again? Tbh, i would rather a team of nobodies winning for us, rather than primadonnas playing for a paycheque. Dont get me wrong, I would love a superstar player, a signal of intent. But if MoN wants to bring in someone who makes us go 'err' instead of 'ahhh', but he does his job well, then i wont complain.

Never in my entire time as a supporter have i felt so safe with the club in somones hands. MoN in the managing side, and Ellis doing the business.

    Cuellar
    Bardo
    Brown
    Warnock
    Collins
    Bramble
    Kilgallon
    Turner
    O'Shea

all have 1 thing in common

    there SLOW!!!!!

We would have the slowest defence in the league with no overlapping full backs

    hope it isn't true

The problem with overlapping is you might stand on the crack.

    Then you die.

I don't really think speed is that important in a defence as long as they're well organised and disciplined, we had one of the better defensive records in the league last season without any real pacey defenders.

Would take Warnock as I think MoN could get the best out of him again, but we are inundated with CBs at the moment and Collins isn't really an improvement on what we have now IMO

First off poolie sober up FFS, secondly sort your phone out, thirdly Muntari and class are not words I'd ever use in the same sentence he was worse than useless with us. Agree with the overall theme of your post though it seems like we have a squad full of squad players and not too many first team players, still plenty of time to sort it though hopefully mate.

I think poolie you are right and its the reason Bruce got the bullet and the job in hand is a vital one. I honestly believe that Bruce was sure he would get Wellbeck, keep Gyan and all would be fine.

Suddenly it became clear Wellbeck had a role at United, Bent had gone and Gyan was soon to follow, we have never recovered.

Lets hope we will all be happy come kick off.
