Never really post much on here but I'm bored in work and saw something about David Batty on Twitter that led me to David O'Leary. It doesn't even seem like the same football club today.

I don't know about everyone else but i'm fed up with all the **** that has gone on and is going on. Words like Cellino, Doukara, Bellusci now make me lose the will to live. Watching Leicester run away with the Premier League only a few years after struggling in League One with us, while we continue to do nothing. Tried to watch the Brighton game last week and actually just had a bit of a laugh about it and turned it off.

For about the last 6 or 7 years i have tried being positive, 'At least we aren't just a mid table Premier League team doing nothing?' or one of those teams that goes up and down. What the **** are we though? A mid table Championship side, no exciting players and no prospect of going anywhere. We have arguably the best fans in the country how have we put up with this for so long? Respect to the thousands who travel home and away every week I have no idea how you do it.

My younger brother has no interest in Leeds now, don't think he could name the team. Don't think he has missed watching a Barcelona match in 3 or 4 years (he couldn't support another English team in our house).

Do we have anything to look forward to? All I can think of is if/when we sell Cook and who to.

Anyway, I know there are lots of things you could point to for where it all went wrong, but i couldn't help but wonder what could have been had Martin O'Neill taken the job in 1998. I always quite liked O'Leary but could things have been very different?

After Graham left for Tottenham, the Leeds board offered Martin O'Neill the manager's position,[citation needed] but the deal fell through and O'Leary was instead promoted to the hot seat. At the end of 1998–1999 Leeds finished fourth in the Premier League and qualified for the UEFA Cup. Their 1999–2000 campaign ended in the semi-final with defeat to the Turkish side Galatasaray. On the domestic front, Leeds finished third in the Premier League and qualified for the Champions League.

Maybe if we think about these things we will forget how depressing and awful things are.

At least Scumchester are ****e now.

Good to see you posting again James <ok>

I turned the Brighton game off at half time. I have never, ever done that before so I can see where your coming from.

The gap widens and with an 80 million wind fall for being in the prem we really need to show some ambition and go for it before many more 'smaller' clubs than us end up much more financially secure and a more attractive option to play for.

Exactly the same as me Bucks, I have never turned the football off when we were on but I did at half time.

I know this is wrong but... I kind of wanted us to lose 8-0 in the hope Cellino would sell up and get out.

Sadly I truly believe good times will not now return, we will just be known as an average Championship club, the gap between even the lesser PL teams and ourselves is immense.

Evening, also agree but hold O'Leary as partly responsible with Ridsdale for the state we still find ourselves in. The only way I can see us getting promoted is if we produce a lot of quality from the academy at the same time as we found with the Woodgate, Harte& Kewell etc. Because we're getting no where with the bang average players we are currently scouting and signing.
