He's older and more experienced now?

It's amazing how training can improve a player!

Are you yellowtummy under a new guise? You don't appear to be lighting the World with your posts!

I think he did pretty well for us actually. We played him in a struggling side and alternated him between left back and left wing, always going to be difficult. He had a good cross, is quick and can tackle. His performances for Chelsea this season have been very solid and pretty sure most Chelsea fans would agree...

i thought he looked a real prospect in his first year with us but admittedly he tailed off badly during his second season. not sure he'll end up at chelsea long term but will probably be a premier league full back for years to come <ok>

I'd have him back, given how young he was with us he showed some real talent especially in the first season and given the poor standard of the team pat the time. He's not better than cole and probably won't last in the chelsea team but should last in the prem.

To be honest he was ok with us imo - don't forget he played in a poor side and was considerably overworked. I thought he showed class and a lot of promise although hos performance's dropped towards the end as did our league position :emoticon-0106-cryin.

We also had Kieran Gibbs on loan the year before - he didn't exactly look like "lighting the world on fire" when he played for us but he is usually in the Arsenal squad for most games (when fit) and has played for England U-21's so you can't always tell how someone will turn out from a short spell on loan (although we did have "Plastic" for 2 seasons).

If he doesn't make it at Chelski, expect him to go to somewhere like Sunderland ....
