This is not a dig saying they are all ****, more of a general enquiry.

Even if we took out the so called big six of Mancs. Arsenal. Chelsea. Spurs and Liverpool. Leaving just the 14 clubs, do we have any players that would be in the top three in their respective positions?

which other non-top clubs, inc Spuds and Liverpool, have those players?

Butland
Coleman
Shawcross
Barclay
Shaqiri
Cabaye
Bolasie
Perez
Kone or Lukaku
MVila
who else... there will be others.

all about the team, not just the parts. Bournemouth vs ManUtd a perfect example of that. Only one team looked like winning that game.

Some cracking players the Cabaye and Bolasie were superb for Palace yesterday. And last werk that Shaquri and the other bloke who scored the goals were as good as any of the so called bigger clubs have to offer

We were missing Smalling, Darmian, Shaw, Rojo, Valencia, Basti, Herrera, Rooney, Schneiderlin and Lingard got injured during the game.

We'd have been beaten by Yeovil.

Players that are good enough for a sustained career in the premiership, and therefore good enough imo are:

Catts
M'Villa
Watmore
Pickford
Rodwell (there is a good player there, you dont just become crap)

The rest may have a few good months but are not good enough for the premiership. Some would do well in Italy and Holland, such as Lens and Borini, but not here.

All the other players are below premiership standard and its no coincidence we are 2nd from bottom. Most top Championship teams have better players than us.

The problem with us, which has been around since Keanes days is the managers have invested poorly.

10 million on Lens
12 million on Fletcher
10 million on Johnson
10+ million on Borini
2 million on Matthews
2.5 million on Marvrias
6 million on Altidore (shudder)
13 million on Gyan

The list can go on.

M'Villa, Catts, are in my opinion EPL quality. Defoe has lost that yard of pace but could still do a job. Lens, Johnson, Fletcher, need to lift their games. They have the capability but more often than not fail to show their true game. Pants, Coates, Kaboul and Van Aarnholt, are all tarred with the same brush and that is on a good day possible EPL but are capable of committing howlers which in this league will get punished. Watmore is a potential, together with Pickford when he returns but unfortunately age is beginning to tell with a fair proportion of our squad whereas the rest are at best championship quality.
