With the lack of expansion in our play, our glaring weaknesses in numerous areas of the pitch and our negative approach, we are unable to sustain any substantial form over the season. For the frist time since our successful promotion campaign I would be happy with not being relegated.

I our first season I thought we would get relegated along the lines in which Derby did, which added to the spirit in which I and pretty much all the Stoke faithful supported the club. We played with what we had and utilised to the best of our ability, with additional heart and desire that was more apparant than most other clubs.
I started the 2nd season understanding our weaknesses but feeling that we would progress, due to the experience we had gained and the additionaly players we were bringing in, however the further the season progressed the more apparent it was that we were not moving forward. This has been pretty much the same ever since, so whilst I expect us to hold our own with squad that we have, we play well below our capability and hence I would expect not to be relegated!
