    QPR 1 Leeds 2

I remember thinking okay great result but no play offs so lets get a head start in the transfer market, a few new faces in and a bit of excitement debating good or bad signings and anticipation to the start of a new season.

Who would have believed with two weeks to go before a new season starts that as a Leeds fan my hopes have dropped and boil down to will we hold on to Gradel and can we attract a Goalkeeper on loan <yikes>

    I feel the same....

    frustrated....
    Angry...
    dissapointed.....

i felt with a few additions manly at the back and a DM we would really be pushing this year....

The last few weeks have been a surprise...
maybe we had a plan of who we wanted and Ken and Larry sat down in MAY and discussed targets.. and budget.

so what happened we cant have lost all of them...
2 weeks to go and 1DM and 1GK (second choice)

I hope im wrong but i cant see anything else happening until the loan window opens and the prem sides have done the 25 man squad.

    Then maybe we get
    Johnson (MC)
    Watt (ars)

Im still confident we will be ok but you see other teams adding to their squads and we have done nothing
    7 players gone or injured.....

2 added the math does not add up....

Im not suprised in the slightest, were awful in the transfer window every time with SG, it'll be like this in xmas aswell. Atleast weve kept Snoddy, Gradels drawn all the attention to himself and away from the better player which is Snodgrass. Shame about Kapser, Loan keeper as #1 is appauling, No Somma or Becchio only Nunez looking lively in pre season, I'd say 12th as it stands wen we shd be looking for top 3. If I was in charge I wlda signed a striker by now I wlda had the defence done 4 weeks ago and id be looking forward to tonking some of the sides this season, obviously SG isnt like that

To top it, when Grayson justified selling Kasper he declared that defence was what let us down last season so changes need to be made. Now I wasn't the greatest fan of Kasper but I would prefer him in goal to Rachubka, how bad we defended last season we could have had two keepers and we would have still leaked goals.

I thought and assumed okay, Kasper isn't the weakest of the back 5 but what moron is going to pay 1.5 million for any of the others, at least we have some funds, maybe get in a couple of players worth £750,000 but no, we haven't spent any of it. Not only have we not spent any we can't attract the freebies, like I said before though, I would feel like Leeds had won promotion if I heard Gradel had signed a new Leeds deal and Stockdale joined on loan.

ristac, transfers take time, admittedly not this much time, im not trying to stick up for grayson and or bates although it seems like i always am, you dont know what is going on behind the scenes, yoiur not the one talking to the players that we are trying to get in. they maybe asking for ridiculous amounts of money per week that we just cant afford, just because we are not bringing in players does not meanthat we are not trying. Plus i am happy with the quality of signings if you consider rachubka as our second choice just not quantity

josh...your right they do take time and im sure we will not know what deals have fell threw.

Bates said what he was doing and its not happened ...maybe be less talk and more action....

think we will get 2 more...and a few loans...

its hard for us all to be positive as i know we are desperrate to get back to the prem and last year we were close...had we bought a DM in Jan and a better CB loan who knows!!!!!!!

we all need to be positive but some deals look dead and we ahve let players go and as it stands our squad is weaker than last year with leavers and injured players.....we can all see that..
Alos some clubs clearly have ambition to build and improve their squad....
in two weeks everything may seem different.....
we kick off and we will all be hyped up and ready for Southampton........

i just hope the next few days are what we all want...and not more dissapointment

I hate to give more doom and gloom, but IF the right money is offered, Bates will sell Snoddy. The right money is not £5m or anything like it, much less, so I would expect movement in the next week or so, certainly before the transfer window shuts.
