I think this seasons squad is stronger. Must give a lot of credit to the swansea board & staff. Bringing in Montero, Gylfi<cheers>Tom Carrol done well & what Barrow showed in his locker for those 15 minutes on the pitch I was not expecting. Bringing back Ki, who I've always rated and taking on the defensive role incredibly well, needs to be recognized. Fernandez who is a solid footballing argentinian man. Together with all the quality oldies Ash, Leon, Dyer, Routs, Taylor, Shelvey, It's actually looking quite amazing. IF we could hold on to these and strengthen with a couple of more real quality players. I'd say top 4. should be the goal.

If we can get a LB and RB to challenge Neil and Angel then I'd say we have one of the best squads in the league. Looking at Liverpools best 11, the way we've played this season and the way they are playing, none of them would get into our first team. The same for Man Utd, I wouldn't want many of their players in our team either.

It's a crazy good squad. The overhaul done by Swansea or done by the players maybe really worked out well. Keep the team and like you say strenghten those two positions, even I think Taylor can raise his game, whereas Rangel won't hack it for top 4. A tadic type aswell, perhaps Shelvey is that one, but often he isn't on the front foot & fresh. The only laudrup signings I really rated were JDG & Chico.

There is no question that we are a far better and much more organized side than previous seasons but that dont mean we are not short of a player or two. The wage bill will go up accordantly and that's why we need investment to maintain our status as the more successful we get the more expensive it gets, One good thing is we are not that far from our limits for a club like us and European place is our target and about the highest we can expect to achieve..,.

Yeah huge task & responsibility for Swansea, monk the staff. To take the next step it means the players need to feel everything around the club is optimal for their progress. If monk and the players can install this we are a unit mentality, feel a connection to the club and have a dream and goal they want to fulfill then it's possible I think.

Just think, if we had the £100+ million to spend like Utd or Liverpool, we'd walk top four this season.

Not necessarily so ,certainly in the case of Liverpool probably the reverse .it's buying the right player, for example would you agree that £16,000,000 on Ballotelli could have been much better spent .

I think that if we ever become like Liverpool or any of the big clubs that it would be the ruination of a club like ours in a very short time. ..In the old Div1 days it was very possible to win the league as the system was fair. you had Ipswich, villa and un fashionable sides like that then all in with a chance but not today, those days are gone.

Yeah the swansea are simply not big enough a club for it to be regular thing, or maybe I wouldn't know. But as it is right now, with the current squad I think it would be bold to dream of top 4 but not out of the question

Definitely. I wouldn't have taken him on a free transfer. With the quality Monk has brought in, every signing has improved the team/squad depth. I'd trust him with £100 million whereas Rodgers has signed close to 20 players at Liverpool and only 2 have been good signings.

Yes hymns & arias has to be very loud and put the opponents off. Not all clubs have a war song.
