Never had problem marking tall strikers
As i am not blessed to be in the 6ft bracket, Strikers always felt little movement was needed to rise above me on a even jump, so on delivery i would quite carelessly step back onto there boot in flicking a sharp amount of pain in the toe area and distraction from them from timing there jump.
There are other methods to distract tall players which i'm sure all our defenders are well acquainted with.
