Two terrible fixtures or two games where no one expects us to get anything so the pressures off. For starters we can forget about 4-4-2 we simply don't have the players. We must go 4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1 if we want to pick up anymore points this year. Larsson must never ever play centre midfield again. Id bring Bardsley back in at right back and put Gardner in the middle with N'Dayie. Last but not least id drop Johnson and use him from the bench. McClean works hard and we need people like that in the side right now. ..........................Mignolet....................... Bardsley......bramble....Oshea.......rose .................Vaughan...N'Dayie.............. Sessegnon.......Gardner.........McClean .........................Fletcher........................ Pulling my hair out. I've just done the predictor for the next two games and if we lose both we'll only be out of bottom three on goal difference
Vaughan out for Colback and Bramble out for Ceullar and that's my team. Imo we'll be in the relegation zone after our game vs Everton, big struggle on our hands now. If we go down it will be a joke after what we've spent
I felt pretty bad during Bruce's 14 match winless streak These are desperate times, can't happen again next season
We move forward by getting things right on the pitch as that is where it matters, not talking wonder goals or Messi like runs and passes but just the basics. Passing to a team mate, tackling and winning the ball some of the time running off the ball and working your nuts off for the team regardless of whether you like your team mates the fans, manager, owner or whatever. Our scouting network is abysmal MONs no.2 is a waste of money we were doing better without him FFS not much mind but better, it all stems back to results and getting things right on the pitch. As for the next two games it wouldn't surprise me to see us get a couple of draws just to totally bamboozle us lot and then go on a little unbeaten run of 4/5 games to see us safely over the line. It's not going to be pretty or easy that's not the Sunderland way but, neither is it the Sunderland way to just lay down roll over and play dead which is what I saw yesterday apart from a 20 minute spell either side of the half time whistle.
Agree with Talc. BASICS. our passing, movement, tracking, finding space is woeful. the amount of times a simple pass goes nowhere near a teamate is frightening. O,Shea has got to be the worst culprit just kicks the ball anywhere. If (a big IF) we do manage to get it to a teamate the next ball is so difficult because their is no movement, no one in space lookingfor a simple ball. Midfield is the problem (puts the pressure on the defence and does nothing to help the forwards) Catts, Colback, Vaughan, Larsson, no legs, no vision. Calls to put Gardener in but when he was in he was bypassed so easy as also no pace and what I have seen of N 'Diaye, he has the legs but not the experience.30 games in and here we are talking about getting the basics right. it just scares the hell out of me.
Id have Gardner in the middle of a 4-2-3-1. Shoot on sight. He'd have 2 holding players behind him to protect the back 4 so could concentrate on attacking
Think if gardener had been in the middle yesterday it could have been a different result at least th lad will shoot and is capable of scoring rather than players just knocking the ball sideways
Unfortunately makdaddy I've got to agree with you on that, we are scared stiff to just have a go from anywhere except the 6 yard box.
It's a vicious circle tal especially when were at home , the fans want the lads to have a go but the players are scarred as they are under huge amounts of pressure especially with the run were on .its was summed up on the radio commentary we have no one who is prepared to take the game by the scruff of the neck, the players don't want to take responsibility and a afraid to just have a go and as a result the pressure continues to grow as results don't come.
McClean works hard? Really? Maybe he does but One Foot Willy trips up so many times over his right leg as he isn't aware he has one. He's ****, as thick as pig dung & personally, I don't want him anywhere near the first team.
Well that would be worth the entrance fee. That said, folk were booing him yesterday even before he came on, I never boo. I can vent my frustrations on here. Give the lad a chance. That said, he was his usual **** self.
No, had it, hes a cnut and a league one player with one foot, did i mention he;s a cnut, MoN can manage him next year in the Irish league.
We move forward by cutting out the loyalty. Titus will not be getting a new contract so stop playing him. He obviously doesnt give a toss anymore. Put Mangane in lets at least see why he was brought in Seb has been utter w*nk all f*cking season. Even as a dead ball specialist he has become a joke. Stop playing him Vaughan, Ray Wilkins passed forward more than this useless tw*t. Stop playing him. Play any f*cker in midfield as opposed to them two useless slow c*nts. If MON thinks they are better than Meyler we are in serious bother. What the f*ck do they do in training.
