Mignolet get sold in the last week of June when the transfer window didn't open to the 1st of july. Been puzzling me and my 34 d's for a fortnight now.
The transfer window actually opens from midnight after the last game of the season. Contracts run from july to july so that's the official completion date of any transfer agreed before July 1, Pre contract agreements are binding as the contract is already signed. It just doesn't activate until the 1st.
Transfer window was open, you can sell a player before the 1st of July, but can't sign a free until this date as their contract doesn't officially run out until the last day of June.
God knows how many times it's been said. Folk don't read every thread though so I spose it needs to be repeated from time to time.
