Last season i made the risky bet, that if we went down i would eat dog ****, at the gas's territory in one of there shirts, think i made this bet in... October or November and thankfully i won, but there's no way i will ever EVER do that again, as (even though i never admitted it) i really did think i had lost and we were going down. So how confident are you that we wont get relegated this season. Would you put the stakes as high as i did (i really don't recommend) or are you not brave enough to bet anything so bad as eating ****
If we go down I will eat my words... If we go up I wont have any words. In fact I will be silent all summer
More chance us staying up than going down. I am a lot more confident than I was two months ago. Bring in the commanding central defender and striker and I will say quite happily a mid table finish with what we have, but two or three quality arrivals and we could be a very big dark horse.
As Red Robin says I think we're a couple of players away from being a decent mid table (or just below) side but dark horse, no A lot will depend on the discipline that Del brought in being carried into this season and the right mental attitude. However I just can't see us troubling the top 6. There are going to be too many very good teams all chasing a playoff place for us to compete with at that level.
Well angelic, there's always that one team every season who nobody expects to be up there let's just hope that's us, but I can see us being mid table this year, as long as our home form gets back to what it used to be I'll be happy
I think (hope!) we will stay up, but I realy can't see us as a top 10 side. A lower half of the table side at best. However............... If Del and the boys want to make me eat my words or share Shiny's corn flakes, then thats fine by me!
I'm not confident at all! I think we've made some decent signings, but I think there are still many dark clouds over the club that need to be resolved before we can really worry about the football. For starters, the stadium needs to be sorted sooner rather than later because the situation is doing nothing but bringing negative news to the club. We also need the chairman to reiterate their goals for the club as things haven't really gone to plan for us over the past two years. I'd also like to know the financial shape of the club and the long-term goals for the club (i.e. the rarely-mentioned plans for the academy, etc). We're still a few players off of being mid-table, and I'm kinda worried that we're looking at relegation again this season. We've done extremely well in the loan market over the past year or two so I'd like to see more of the same.
WOW -I respect your views, but we will be okay this season,Im more confident than the last two years of rubbish we have seen. I still do not understand if the budget is tight why Del has brought another winger in. Bolasie will do well this season and will cause havoc against the opposition,Albert will be a thorn for any championship side."still reckon he will be gone before the season start" hence Anderson arrival. As said a lot more confident, bring it on
I'm usually confident that you'll get relegated however I have been wrong on several occasions. I would like to reserve judgement for the time being however I will be suprised if you don't finish in the automatic promotion spots.
Gonna be a tough year for you lot I reckon. Got some strong teams in your division and none of them are smaller than yourselves so relegation must be a real threat? Not taking the piss, I just genuinely think your ****
You've been known to over exagerate and be totally wrong before, many times,I don't think we need pay any attention or show concerns about any "gashead" drivel,I'm not taking the piss but your own team are in a worse state of ****e than they were at this time last year, the blue posers have got a lot to worry about...
Don't get me wrong, I think we're in a far better position than before because we've been able to get rid of the dead wood and McInnes is finally free to start picking the squad apart and building his team. First of all, the pre-season schedule does not inspire me with confidence. I would have preferred us to go on tour somewhere other than Scotland (I wonder whose idea that was...), ideally the USA so we can also do some scouting for our level. Secondly, we've made some key signings, but we still need more and there are still players that have uncertain futures with us. I'd really like to see McInnes sort out some loan signings, especially while there is still a lot of quality out there that we'd benefit from. If we don't finally get that midfielder we've wanted for so long then I see us rooted to the bottom of the table. We were lucky to turn things around last season, and a few more dropped points would have put us in League 1. I don't think the league is as strong as it has been before, but teams around us have been improving and I think we'll need a stronger lineup. We've trimmed a fair amount off of the wage bill, so I think we've still got room for improvement. However, until the stadium issue is resolved I think the purse strings will stay tight. This is why I really want the stadium issue to be resolved as soon as possible, even if the club has to pour money into legal fights, cross-examination of those opposing us, etc. We needed that new stadium today, and we've not even started building.
If we go into the season without any more additions - We've had it. End Of. We got out of Jail last season. I see absolutely no reason why we'll finish any higher than 4th bottom.
Blimey guys I am a pessimist but some of our fans are saying we're doomed. No way better organised, better players arrived and more to come. Cheer up you could be following the gas in division four.
