I honestly expected a tough game, but tonight thought we got the result our play deserved.
The whole team played brilliantly WELL DONE lads a joy to watch and 2 points off the mackems 5 points off the magic 40 and a point off Bolton who we play next at SJP who we owe one after the last embaressment.

They had the ball for a lot of the game, but were useless in front of goal. Hopefully it'll be the same at SJP later this year

Hope Kevin Nolan gives his head a wobble after his last performance against his old team!

  5. You think that was comfortable? Even though we dominated, they came so close with Zigic twice and they forced two great saves from Harper.

The whole team played tonight from front to back they all did their bit fantastic result, I don't think Bolton have been to clever of late and reckon the next 2 games Bolton and Everton(who have one of the worst away records) can see us safe and pushing on after securing our future in th PL.

Finishing above the mackems and dare I say it a Europe spot isn't out of reach, if I'm honest Europe is at a stretch unless it forces Fat Mike to spends but if getting into Europe means keeping the mackems out then I'll take it <laugh>

5 points away from safety with 2 winnable home games coming up. Shall we dare to dream?

Only Everton and Arsenal have come away with all 3 points this season.

And yes Tash I do think that was comfortable, they created very few chances and when Zigic was on side he had a touch like a rapist. Martin and Kevin(Rat Boy)Phillips did **** all.

Saturday was harder than that and we should have won that game as well.

Either they played poorly or we made them look poor as we have done to a few teams this season.

Only the fifth team to win at St Andrews since they got promoted according to SSN.

Great win and comfortable performance from the lads.

And 8 points clear of 18th sounds so much better than 5!

Got to say thought they were better team, first half but second half we dominated and deserved the win, though I always felt Zigic could be a threat or was threat.

They had a good spell in the first half for maybe 20 minutes, but overall I think we got the result we deserved and dominated the majority of the game.

Not a chance they were the better team. The first half we just about dominated but as soon as we got our second the result was never in doubt. They only made Harper work twice and they were pretty tame efforts. The fact the Brum fans were flooding out the gates with ten minutes still to play said it all.

Don't know where you get that from, we were the best team throughout the whole game.

Brum absolutely dominated posession in the first half, they didn't have many chances and we looked comfortable but you can't argue with the fact they had most of the ball.

Second half was a different matter...looked like we did against Balckburn totally calm, controlled and assured. Created some good chances and we could have nicked a couple more with some better play in the final third.

Overall a very controlled performance and there was only side that looked like winning.

    Roll on Bolton and Everton...

For me Pardew sent out a team that knew what had to be done and that was to get 3 points.

Overall we were the better team

Best and Lovenkrands both took their goals well.

    Harper made some good saves.

Jonas and Joey both controlled midfield.

Team overall were up for the challenge and we are nearer the 40 point's mark.

At half time BBC were crediting us with 54% possession... So I'll argue that!

Brilliant, professional performance by the boys! Can wait for Bolton now!

My only concern is the 10 day break, we always seem abit sluggish after a rest. It's good to get players back fit and ready to play, but breaks any momentum we have built up.
Our last 10 day break we lost to Fulham :( let's hope history doesn't repeat itself

Yeh when i saw the possesion stats i was suprised because in my mind they had most of the ball but just couldn't do anything with it
