I think we're finding it hard to attract players to our league. 4 times a season against the same teams. Government sticking their neb in. Secondary (at best) national coverage to England. At in the other factors in our country such as poor infrastructure, ****e weather and not an awful lot to do with your spare time its little wonder no cunt wants to play in Scotland.
That's mostly true Frank but our press don't help the situation by saying "SNUB" every time a player wants to go elsewhere. People like Preston take it as fact and then use it as ammo in some feeble 606 wummery? How often do the chip wrappers say that a player has "Snubbed" an English club? It happens all the time but it's not a snub at all.
If I was a talented footballer in my early 20's I wouldnt touch the SPL with a very large pole. In fact I wouldnt be anywhere near British football, I'd be in Germany, Spain, Portugal or Holland to develop my game. If the SPL were to change mentality, expand the league, work towards developing talent, and take steps to entertain the supporters instead of treating them like cattle then I'd consider it as a place to play football (but then only if Rangers were interested ) The media need sensationalist headlines which is why they use words like "SNUB", there always has to be a snub somewhere, they cant handle a simple scenario of a club calling a player saying, "Fancy playing for us?" and the player saying, "Aye alright then." they need to put something like "Snubbed a host of English Championship / Big European clubs." The press are more fucked up in the head than people posting on this forum, and they certainly know much less about football. They need exterminated, starting with that smelly tit Spiers.

Of the players that have reportedly snubbed Celtic and Rangers for that matter how many do you think were accually offered a contract? Rangers and Celtic get massive press coverage and also have well known limitations when compaired to the big leagues. We are the ideal clubs to be used to raise a players profile even the smallest of contact with a player will be leaked and exaggerated to get a players name splashed all over the press.

I'm sure most of these journalists are actually quite intelligent people but they're just catering for the type of people who read their columns. It's the same with the NoTW journalists. I bet most of them would rather be writing prize winning novels but writing about which celebrity is shagging who pays the mortgage. The press are in no way at fault for players not coming to Scotland. It all comes down to money. Twenty years ago players weren't exactly rushing to the Russian and Ukranian leagues.
