Now this is not an anti united post but seriously it ruins the league when this crap happens. You can't have a fair footballing environment when this is happening every season. United went on to win the game of course and may well have done without the dubious penalty but why do the refs feel the need to hand them such an advantage so early in the season? It makes me feel a bit sick to be honest and seriously makes me question the morality and intentions of the premiership footballs elite decision makers. Just had to get that off my chest.
Well they are either getting bribed or are just ****ing incompetent. Danny Welbeck is another player from united that ref have to be aware of when it comes to diving. So that's Young,Welbeck,Rooney and Nani from the same team.
Are you surprised ? It's not like it's a new thing. Utd fans may decry the opinion that they get more favourable penalty decisions, but Welbeck's dive and subsequent ridiculous refereeing is just another example of the case.
Not surprised at all piskie and no it's not a new thing, it's been going on for as long as I remember which is why is have to question the morality of the F.A and refs association. Financial fair play is only half the issue in the premiership the other half is the constant help I witness United get season after season.
Don't blame the refs. Blame the ****ing cheaters in the game (who are not just at Man Utd). There needs to be retrospective bans for diving, at least 5 games. This should not only be implemented by the English FA but by UEFA and FIFA. Unfortunately, all three organizations are too spineless to implement it. This kind of cheating is ruining our game. The refs are only human and are under enough pressure already. If only we had video technology like the NBA, then all the officials can looks over the footage and if they have judged the player to have dived, automatic three game ban. This would get rid of diving so quickly. I'm getting sick and tired of it and yes, Arsenal have been guilty of it in the past but it doesn't negate my point.
Same procedure as every year. Refs always favour Man Utd, that's no secret and you don't have to make up any conspiracy stories. And no, I'm not paranoid. I'm very intrigued to see what happens on 3rd November: 03/04 Penalty 04/05 Penalty 05/06 No penalty 06/07 No penalty 07/08 Penalty 08/09 No penalty 09/10 Penalty 10/11 Penalty 11/12 Penalty ...AGAINST us at Old Trafford in the last nine seasons. At least four of these penalties were quite dubious and very questionable. Their current penalty streak (as well as those from last year after a number of Ashley Young dives) doesn't surprise me at all with Mike Riley as head of the referees. Always has favoured Man Utd, although their deluded fans will deny this.
09/10 Penalty: was never a pen and you should have had 1 with Fletcher on Arshavin 10/11 Penalty: definately not a pen 11/12 Penalty : both pens were about the same in fairness, rightly given
Looks like we've encountered the world's only sane, non-blinkered United fan. For that, i applaud you sire.
It helps when Fergie's fury can kill a refs career. Take Atkinson, for example. He invented Fergie time for them against City but when Everton had scored twice in injury time to bring a game to 3-3, the same ref only added 30 seconds on top of injury time and blew the whistle with Everton on the attack. He got on Fergie's bad side later that season in a match against Chelsea and the elite referee was dropped to the Championship despite being ref in both the Europa League and Champions League. He also didn't referee a United game for over a year after and on that occasion they played us and he disallowed the opening goal in United's favour. So what about Oliver who gave the penalty this time? Well the last United game it was in March and he turned down the penalty Fulham should've had when it was 1-0 to United with minutes to go. It's no surprise they get the decisions when Fergie is essentially able to create his own pool of referees that are allowed to officiate his games. Their diving is appalling too but that's nothing new.
Out of every club in the league last season Man U had the most refereeing decisions go against them incorrectly. They would have won the league comfortably with a bit of competent refereeing. Spurs would have finished 10 points above arsenal too.
You mean you would have finished ten points above Arsenal if you hadn't completely bottled it after we demolished you at Emirates
Wondering yid. Sorry mate but your so called facts are complete ****. Get your research game up to par buddy. Last season united had 59% of decisions wrong in their matches. Not all the decisions were against them either. The team that actually suffered the most due to incorrect ref decisions were infact city with a whopping 73.7% with a fair chunk of those decisions going against them. The difference between them and united is that they overcame the those bad decisions and won the game anyway or scrapped out a draw. Soooooo your point is what again?
To be honest, I don't buy this favouritism theory. The best team wins the league (apart from 2002-03 lol). If there is a disparity in the number of penalties awarded to United then it's probably due to refs botltling it under pressure, not favouritism.
lol typical deluded yid right there...didn't you beat us at ****e Hart Lane thanks to a goal by van der Vaart which was handball before? Or got a penalty after a blatant Gareth Bale dive in the game at the Emirates? That put your lot 2-0 up and you still bottled it so badly, despite the ref helping you out big time.
The bit about United All these delusional conspiracy theories never actually stand up to the facts ( note not Rafa facts, actual facts ). Welbeck was embarrassing though
Hmmmm. All of the revised league tables show United would of won the league last season if refs were flawless. Same in 2010 When Chelsea won it.
