    Hi Everyone

Belated Hello as a newbie.....very rude not to introduce myself before! Thought I'd talk about someone positive, like the decent squad players we have.

Holmes has looked excellent in the cup games, almost instumental dare I say. How close do people reckon he is to a start? Also, how would it change the dynamics of the team/selection:angel:

I think Holmes should be given a start - IMO guly isn't a right winger and looks so awkward out there

Holmes had a good pre-season, has been impressive in the 2 cup games so I think he's worth a start

    Hello!

Think Holmes is still behind Guly and De Ridder, so baring injuries or bad loss of form, can't see him being picked for league games at the moment. He is one of the casualties of this stupid 5 subs not 7 rule.

Personally think Guly has started the season very well. He's learning to track back and cover people, which I doubt he's never done in his career before. Two goals from a wide man is a good return too.

I agree on Guly, done great but better up front perhaps. Holmes is a lefty I think, in time, him on one wing and De Ridder onn the other could be very exciting.......

He wont be starting whilst Guly and Lallana are playing well.I would expect De Ridder is ahead of him as well.

Holmes is down the pecking order at the moment, I agree that Guly has been great, de Ridder looks like a good player too but I think he will take time to adapt to the Championship. I am sure that he will get a chance as the season goes on.

A nuclear explosion couldn't dislodge Lallana from the left hand berth. I don't see him moving to play behind a front man either, he has been in that position before and not been as effective.

Adkins loves the fluid nature of our front 4. All can drop deep, swap wings, come inside, go central and cause problems around the box. It's a great situation to be in and one of the main reasons clubs are finding it so hard to defend against us.

Have to totally agree with you. Holmes and De Ridder are both useful to have on the bench but whilst Guly and Lallana are performing as they are there won't be any changes.

I was wasn't really thinking of Lallana being out of the side to be honest as he is clearly the man right now. Was thinking of him playing behind front man, but I take your point chocalateboxkid that this is less effective.
