How can we make sense of this crazy game of ours?

How can us mere mortals be expected to make sense of a crazy game that :

Pays a bloke with no charisma and can barely communicate, yet inspire £6 million a year for a part-time job managing our England Team...or
Pays a bloke (Smithy) who is a shadow of his former self and who cannot even get a run out in the early round of Carling Cup £3 million a year..or
Nearly paid a bloke ( Sicknote) £133,000 a week who has been plagued by injuries, and was so disinterested in Newcastle travelled by helicopter just for training and match days.

Nothing surprises me any more..........if we got to know even half of what passes for normality in EPL we'd all go grey!
