After home games we always rush back to the car to listen to Pearson's after match interview on RL - In particular he has given me something of the irrits after the last 2 home games where we must have been watching different games - Then after a great win at Leeds with a very strong second half he slaughters the players He clearly knows a great deal more about football than I do, but come on Pearson the boys done good today
He was angry because he actually left it too late to bring in the young guns whilst we still had a chance.
To be fair if we had better strikers we couldve had 5 goals ur midfield was none existent and Ben marshall just tries to be too fancy all time
So im not the only one who's realised we get by without an actual midfield. Seriously its a wonder how we havnt conceded even more goals. It sort of explains the number of penalties we concede too.
Have to say I was intrigued by the post-match interviews. Firstly, by all accounts in a game where we deserved to win, Nigel says he's very unhappy. And then I took note of his comment that he'll have to start well to 'buy himself some more time' next season. That to me sounded like a comment from a man who knows he's under big pressure from the get-go and knows he maybe doesn't have much time or patience from his superiors. Then following that was the Sean St Ledger interview where he almost gave a farewell speech - saying how he'd had a fantastic time at the club, thanked fans for support, made some friends for life etc. It's clear now he wants regular first team football which we can't guarantee him. I think a pact was made between NP and him that he'd stay til the end of the season and then he could leave. Certainly the reported interest in De Laet might support hat. But maybe I'm reading too much into things.
He´s angry about beating DIIIIIRTY LEEEEEDS at LEEEEEDS ? Lets hope he´s angry almost every week next season.
Nothing to do with your strikers. You have 30+ gaols between McCormack and Becchio. Also, we should have thrashed you, your first chance (since I started to listen to your radio at about half an hour in) came when ou scored. We could have had 3/4 before that are your radio station said (at 1-1 that you were lucky to still be in the game. The better team won, just as it did in November.
One of pearson's better interviews..imo, no sugar coated bull, didn't get carried away by a win over the "mighty" leeds...he knows and we know the team has been s h i t e most of the season... with that interview he has given me renewed hope.
Kasper has been quality all season. As for Nigel's and St. Ledgers interview I found them both a little strange
