Pardew obviously wants to revert back to the target man system with Ben Arfa behind Cole.

I wouldn't be suprised if Pardew has been told he's not actually getting the 35 mil and we're getting next to nowt to spend.

Barton says he wants to see good signings and see that the club has ambition before joining us on a longer contract, and i don't blame him.

To be fair - no one at NUFC have said we are interested in any player. Its only the media that have mentioned Gervinho, Gameiro and now to Cole.

Am sure Pardew has mentioned the need for quality over quantity and we will just have to wait and see
