if Steve Cotterill thought he'd be better off at Forest. No money for new signings and looking doomed to relegation. He could have had that with the skates!

Cotteril is in fairy land compared to what he had to deal with last season at Pompey. Money may be tight at Forest, but at least he can call upon a full squad of players.

Forest were woefull at Leicester the other night. And Cotteril did have a distinctly haunted look.

Despite all the problems behind the scenes at Pompey they look to be safe from relegation this season if they can keep hold of the players they have. Whereas Forest look to be in free-fall. Who would want Cotteril after this?

I see that Ipswich have made a double bid for Ward and Pearce. Two of Pompey's best players for sure. Before Pearce signed for Pompey (from Bournemouth i believe), many of us on here were talking about him coming to Saints, and sure enough he has played his part in Pompey's good defensive record. I wouldn't be surprised (without bothering to look it up) that Pompey have a better defensive record then us this season.

Considering our respective positions, that is pretty damn good. If they had a bit of creative quality they would likely be up in-or-around the playoffs.
