With only a few days of the transfer window left how do you think we’re doing?

CC didn’t expect much money and Short hasn’t disappointed there.
Will we sell Kone and/or N’Dong. There’s not much movement there, possibly a loan deal to Watford for N'Dong which will bring what in?

2 strikers out and a defender and winger in so currently we have 2 of the kids as our strike force.
We may be losing a winger and getting, by all accounts, another dodgy keeper.
Chris Martin has a choice of about 5 clubs so should we expect him to come to us.

CC is getting very little help. I wouldn’t blame him if he walked as he won’t want our relegation on his cv.
    He’s working with scraps.

Some of you will say wait until Wednesday when the window closes and then see where we are.
I’ve heard this quite a few times these last few years but how often have we signed some players just before the window closes, and that was when we actually had a little money to spend.
In the summer we spent £1.2 million and it doesn’t look like we are going to splash out again during this window.

CC has done very well since arriving but he can’t work miracles with an already threadbare relegation zone squad being further weakened. Our strike force will soon lose their impact if they are all we have for every game and any injuries to them would be serious for us.

Maybe in the next few days we will sell Kone and N’Dong, get about 10 million for them and CC may get 1 million of that to get a lot of players in to try and prevent another relegation. That and a load of loan players who can’t get any games for their Championship teams or are unknown quantities from premiership youth squads.
The thing is, the last few years, we keep hoping for signings on deadline day but rarely get any so I’m not very optimistic that all will change on this deadline day.
All we hear is that they are working very hard to bring players in.

Obviously I hope we get some good signings in and that Short takes an interest in us and gives CC several millions to help the fight against relegation. It’s in his interest as well because as a Division 1 club we would plummet in value and he would lose much more when he sells up.

As it stands today we are in deep ****.

Ellis has proven himself yet again. No knowledge of football, no interest in the club.

I still think we will scrape up come what may like.

Were not even doing that well Bri, I've been saying all month we need at least one striker and I live in hope if not in expectation. Can we survive with what we've got? That's a very big question and I dread to think of the consequences if we fail.

We've done very little so far and there's nothing much to talk about until the window shuts.

I don't see Coleman walking though whatever happens I think he's here for the long haul.

Even if we get a striker there's still holes all over. We might avoid relegation but all the bollocks(From Short) about getting back into the prem quickly is delusional bollocks, we're already falling behind on investment to keep us in this league. Embarrassment of a club.

It's looking like Short has taken the decision to let the club find its own level, meaning no investment, or sale any time soon. Coleman is our only hope of better times ahead, and he may well turn out to be Short's finest appointment. His performance so far has been quietly impressive, and long may it continue. Nil Desperandum.

So what did we manage in the window then, I've probably missed someone.

GK: Lee Camp, Steele didn't go because Derby realised he wasn't a winger at the last minute

    DF: Jake Salter Clarke

MF: Ovie Ejaria, Kazenga Lua Lua (cheers Charley)

    FD: Ashley Fletcher, Connor Shields

That's more than half a team, there's potential there to turn our season around.

    Nacho,
    Lua Lua.

I think that considering we have spent nothing they are as good as we could have hoped for.
New faces in goal, defence, midfield and a striker.

I’m still unhappy that CC wasn’t given any money and that has an ominous ring about it.
Anyone got an idea of our current debt?
We’ve spent 1.2 million this season and sold Pickford for 30 million.
We’ve lost some high wage players.
    When will this end?

So, the big question. Will we stay up?
I don’t know. 50:50 for me. My heart says we stay up, my head tells me we’re going down again.
At least we should win some games in div 1
I was there the last time (div 3) and enjoyed watching Marco.

Whilst these signing do bolster the squad a little, I can't say I'm that optimistic about staying up. Our performance on Tuesday night was particularly worrying.

I thought our performances away were improving but it really sounded like men against boys the other night.

We must do better in those 6-pointers.

We also need our long-term injured back playing again, if thats even possible.

Ubiquitous video that makes every player look like a world beater:

He looks like he's got some quality and a bit of fight too. A head taller than everyone else at that age but our team will be the only ones he's taller than in this league.

Hows he gonna fare in the Championship though? Its a much tougher league and if he plays he's gonna get the **** kicked out of him.

Well he's tall enough but he looks skinny doesn't he. Not sure what his best position is.

Disappointed to say the least, not Colemans fault, he has had no backing at all from Short. Tough times ahead I would guess, we fight on with a squad that looks too lightweight and vulnerable to route one football, if this is not addressed we are down.

I've said this before & I'll say it again. We're far too lightweight.
This is a physical league & we need some big lumps in there.

I think 5 out of the 6 we signed are over 6 foot so let's hope they aren't weaklings. Fletcher is supposed to be a strong lad who can hold the ball up.

Aye that's very true, I think at the least we'll have a keeper who won't get bullied and a striker with some height and physicality in Fletcher. I'm going to the game this weekend so it'll give me a chance to literally size them up.
