Plenty of players and ex players on show any stand out to you??
Hazard has been a big disappointment, definitely not made the step up to top class so far, de Bruyn looks well in front. Oscar also not too flash, rambo ditto Luiz done pretty well, mikel OK Courtois good.Azpi was badly exposed in one game but got better. cahill did all expected, Costa poor but excuses valid
Very impressed with young African kid Itsu/ Atsu?? Only saw one game here in Italy and didnt realise he was a Chelsea player till after the game, but he looked really good.
Sure Ive missed some, but coverage in Italy is lousy especially with Italy out and hardly any free Sky in Hotels.

Hazard was super v USA. Had a fantastic battle with the BrilliAnt USA defence.

De Bruyne looked okay at no 10.

Good to see Lukaku come on and knab a goal after being dropped.
He was even worse than Costa in group phase

I saw it the other way round. Thought de Bruyn was the standout and Hazard the bit player. In fact Hazard looked like he was playing for Chelsea, and unable to break through a stubborn defence from a poor team. Really hope he's at his best next game. Lukaku sure took his chance well.

Belgium-USA game was brilliant. USA defence was so good, resisting wave after wave of Belgium attacks. One of the best games in tournament

Though Hazard looked very good against the USA. That Argie defence is not as impressive.

If we need a great playmaking and goalscoring defender we should put in a bid for David Luiz. Best in tournament, though might be a tad creative for our manager, who prefers solid types like Cahill.

LOL. He tried 40 of those free kicks at Chelsea and scored one.
Why Jose let him take them I will never know.
We need to improve our free kicks next season: is fabregas any good at them?

Luiz was great v Chile at centre back. Great to see him playing well but never judge a player on a few hyped handful of World Cup games.

Chelsea OB Luiz had a cracker yesterday! I still couldn't see him in our squad though, particularly when £50m. was there for the taking!

Luiz should of been a shoe in for Lamp's old position. Midfielder with attack mind and bite, plus height to win the ball in the air.

Now that Neymar is sadly injured, will we finally see Oscar back at the no.10 position that he so impressed in against Croatia? And maybe it is Willian's time to show what he can do?

luiz need to do lot with dante in semis.

    Eden is worse than marouane..
is he trying to reduce his worth?

81st min - belgium is 3 at back, van buyten up top on the left side, lukaku on right side.
van buyten runs from left side, crosses stationary lukaku and chases the ball on right side. tells about lukaku..

that is application from the big cb.

Yeah Courtois made a good save at the end to deny Messi. Could be a good thing that the majority of our players have gone home early? Or in some cases not gone at all.

Can only think of Willian, Rami, Oscar & Schurrle left.

In all fairness KDB looks like poor man's Schurrle.

not to hijack thread, but - the following is from wc commentary..

"Show me a fair team that has won a trophy. When you play abroad it is part and parcel. The referees buy it in France, Spain or Germany. You get touched, you go down, you get a free kick, and in the World Cup too.
"It means you're streetwise and you know how to win a football match. We are too honest in this country. Until we learn the rules, we will struggle to win at this stage."

rooney, welbeck, young are not from this country??

wt t f he is smoking??

He had some superb big games for Chelsea at CB: Bayern.

Last season, he was disappointing in some big games: PSG away and Atletico for example

Luiz like most players will thrive on confidence..

Unfortunately Jose never fancied him and it showed on the pitch.
