The OTIB? How can they have more members than us! Take a look at this thread http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/152573-liam-kelly/ Does my head in to see some/most moan about LK who IMO has been a very good consistent player since joining, Anyway this isn't about that thread it was just a example of negativity Pisses me off that this is the busiest City board on the net (we're 2nd by the way) Time and Time again I see fans on there moaning about how negative it is yet they stay there. Would love to grab 5-10 of there active posters and bring them over here as its a lot more easy going, But you can't get to them, No PM's and if you mention this site you get banned and blocked. Our MODS wouldn't do that if someone tried getting some of our lot on the OTIB in fact I would welcome it, More city fans on each Forum would be better all round. So annoying to see people pissed off with the forum and not know about us for them to try. If any of you are on there, Please mention this site, I would but they've blocked me and for some reason now its impossible for me to make a new account. The MODS on there are terrible and got there heads to far up there asses. Unlike the lovely handsome intelligent mods on here Well me anyway Spread the Not606 love

Shiny i was a original from the site previous to that,then it changed to the current set up i had five stars as a poster,good followings and banter. But the current set up is a sham,do as we say,not what you want to say. If they dont like it it will not be posted. I am amazed people stay over there. Mods are like the gestapo
It's almost impossible to join OTIB Shiny I gave up trying some time back I tried all 7 of my email accounts because someone said they didn't like Hotmail but they don't like blueyonder, gmail, or my old supernet addy either so as far as I am concerned stuff 'em
Well I'm glad you're back regularly on here hawk RR I signed up, mentioned this site once and was banned. Up until I was banned I was quite active on the otib but lost respect after I was banned after my first "mistake" should of had a warning at least, ah well.
Seriously best of staying off there,better over here,decent posters,good debate,no slagging matches,well not as bad as over there
I once posted a jokey thread on the old BBC 606 shortly after the infamous Crystal Palace game with Freddie Sears' disallowed goal (though too many people forget Paul Hartley's disallowed goal when he was definitely onside, but I digress), which was from the perspective of a Crystal Palace supporting paper, which called Gary John a holocaust denier and Nazi sympathiser and Steve Lansdowne the child catcher from chitty chitty bang bang (context required ). Naturally, it got caught by moderators, but not before a few responses saying how funny it was, so I thought I'd post it on OTIB. Went down like a lead balloon and was banned immediately. No sense of humour.
In peace. Our OS seems to be slightly more lenient.....but I found that the way to mention this site was to mention it 'in passing'. So make a genuine comment about a thread then throw in some comment about something you read on another site. Or do what cjs does...have this site in your signature. Don't know why I'm telling you this!

Well said Red Robin, because if this board descended into a slagging site, I for one would not be here. I am here because I am a long serving member of the Bristol City family and want to put my viewpoint to others and am very receptive and interested in what others have to say. I've known Robbo who started OTIB fanzine for a long time and he is always open to good discussion, so I'm surprised that their site seems to have drifted into the way it is now. Just remember everyone, that football is a very emotive thing and even in a room of two people it is certain there will never be total agreement let alone a concensus. So keep going with the posts and the controversy chaps.
I have it linked to my twitter account, so i can read the threads. But i am not a member. Some of the things said on there wind me up so much that i want to reply. But i just breathe deeply and come back to here. Its nice here. Controversial sometimes, and infuriating - especially when we sometimes slag each other off. But we all settle back down again to supporting the club.
Nice to have harmony in the camp,shame it was not done earlier,the only thing is Sod may have not be availiable.
It's great hearing all of these comments about our forum, do you remember back a while when we were being infested by various idiots who would ruin every thread we put up, we were losing more members than gaining and consequently shrinking, we took a stand, changed our direction, started to offer more debate, participation, games such as predictions, quizzes, etc,etc, shiny and angelic joined us and what a great job they do, everything has taken off from there, that is down to you our members and I really would like to thank you all for that... It's also good to note that the very people who were contributing to our forum difficulties, have mirrored our activities and developed their forum the same as us and guess what, their's is growing as well and I congratulate them for that.. Let's continue being controversial and infuriating at times but let us all stay solid Bristol City fans and firm forum members.....Thanks...
