Fans obviously have different views on their own manager and other managers from other clubs. However, I am curious as to what you guys think of your current situation and the manager you have to hopefully lead you to saftey or your preffered league position and the reason why they are either the right or wrong person for the job?

Some results are now compounding the relevant league positions, but I am suprised that there have not been more sackings or are we just waiting for the inevitable?

Anyway, your views would be appreciated and good luck for the rest of the season.

I think Pulis and Martinez are very safe. As safe as anyone else I think. Wigan have accepted they might be going down, Martinez's job is safe imo. Much like Bolton the chairmans kind of know they don't really have the playing staff to compete. Pulis well Stoke are doing alright. They play poor football but he gets the results when he needs too, much like Allardyce did at Blackburn. Kean...no idea what's going on there. He could be safe, he could be on borrowed time, impossible to know. McCarthy... I don't know, I think the panic button by be pushed with like 8 games to go if you're in the bottom three. I don't know who could do a better job though. Managers don't line up to play fireman. It could be someone like Neil Warnock, is he better than what you have?

The difference with your wolves team is you have a large squad, but there's not enough quality. Unlike with us, Newcastle we have a small squad, but there's a strong, clear first team. And when we have injuries we lose, we're not good enough. But there's that excuse there. Where as with Wolves you have a large squad, you have like 5 strikers, 6 central defenders, all kinds of not very good midfielders on your books but there's really no clear...hirarchy, it's all about form. And that...in my view is more difficult for a manager to manage. He picks the wrong people, the performance is bad, it's all the managers fault.

I mean Steve Bruce is available? Do you think he'll raise the team and get them playing? I don't think he's the character. Honestly you better stick with mccarthy, hope for a good string of result, the odd draw and beating those around you.

Looking at the managers at the start of the season .. we usually do a bet on who will be sacked first, and the only real candidate I saw was Steve Bruce. I felt he was simply at the wrong club. Alex McLeish looks a poor fit as well. He just doesn't belong to Villa. I think Owen Coyle is a good manager. Bolton had this horrendous set of fixtures at the start of the season and they've been paying for it ever since. You play vs City Spurs ManU and Tottenham, Everton Liverpool And arsenal pretty much on the trot, you get beat four times 5 nil your teams confidence is shot to pieces.

Basically the relegation teams at this point are clear.

It's going to 3 down out of QPR, Wolves, Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves. No one's down yet. There's 2 places to survive, 3 to go. West Brom are ten points safe. They're good. Maybe this is a good situation to be in. The objective is clear, be better than 3 of those 'other' 4 teams.

I think Martinez is safe, he does a fantastic job for Wigan and I think they may be the team to stay up out of the bottom 3 as it stands.

Mick McCarthy? Not sure and he looked a broken man on MOTD 2 tonight, Wolves are having a bad season no doubts about that.

Andre Villas Boas .. given the high expectations at Chelsea who knows? It seem's their Chairman can do as he please's.. But he is out of his depth I think.

Owen Coyle.. did really well when he went to Bolton seemed to have turned things around. That was, until we hammered them at Wembley.. not the same team since then.

Mr Kean at Blackburn.. he's a difficult man to read when he's interviewed? I'm never sure if he's worried, not at all concerned about how badly they were doing.. the last frw weeks have done really well.. stange situation at Blackburn but I think he's safe enough.

Tony Pulis.. where do I start.. FACT is.. since promotion, like it or not he HAS kept us up and with something to spare so far?? Sometimes I wonder HOW at the minute we actually have a 9 pt gap to spare given how poor our form is of late.. maybe It's not as bad as I and a few more think it is..
I look at Wolves, QPR and Bolton and I honestly can not see how they are any better than us.. but BOLTON played us off the park and overturned that five Zip scoreline from Wembley other than that they are struggling. QPR have spent some cash and on paper they look to have a very good side. THEY also beat us at home?

So, I will stick my neck out here and IMHO i think these are the 3 teams to get relegated. Wigan, Bolton and Wolves.

I will vote for A V Boas to lose his job before any of the others.. although, I WISH we Stoke were in Chelsea's position.. expectations are one thing. Actually "doing it" is much harder for a club who expect to be in a UEFA place come the end of the season.

    Wolves sack McCarthy!

Its understandable given the result at the weekend, but surley the decession would have been better taken prior to the transfer window? I'm unsure if you will get anyone better in the short term!

Good luck to Wolves and hopefully they can turn it around - probably against us ina few weeks!

Damn - I lost a fiver on that vote of mine <wah><wah><wah>

Joking aside, sorry for Mick as I like the guy, keeping Wolves in the Prem for what 5 years is a great achievement, especially as he did not have £90 million to spend!!!
How much did Fletcher cost £6 million? and Jarvis?? always like O'Hara as well. Just shows what can happen after a good start and then a 'blip'

At least they have a decisive Chairman - if only <whistle>

Really sorry to hear this!! He's a great guy always liked him myself. TELLS it straight and he's taken the blame/flack and now the sack because his player's are not doing too well... WINK, WINK, Mr Coates <whistle> Wovles, ARE they REALLY on a WORSE run than us Stoke?

HOPE they turn it around but honestly can't see it happening... Would like to see M M get another job soon. <ok>

QPR fan. Have to say Im surprised that Mick has been sacked, however, a 1-5 home defeat after the chairman has come into the dressing room previously must have indicated all was not right. McCathy has always come across as a fair man and good manager - sometimes a change is needed to keep the team in the premiersip. Out of the managers mentioned, the three that have most to fear would be Owen Coyle, avb and Steve Kean - Kean purely because he is seen as a venky puppet in charge, and Coyle because for some reason Bolton are misfiring. AVB because he is not the right man to rebuild an aging chelsea side with an impatient chairman above him. How he can manage to get a proven goalscorer in Torres to misfire is quite incredible, and yet Torres and Mata playing as winger and striker do look to be effective.

With reference to earlier comment about QPR having a good side on paper...hum, if only we played on paper!! We have got good players, but if they cannot gel then we will find ourselves deep in the brown stuff. We have had two stupid sendings off which have cost the team 4 to 6 points and, when you look at our run in we have got a hard end to the season.

Interesting times ahead, Martinez and Pulis are safe. Martinez because the chairman believes in him, and Tony Pulis - to think where Stoke City were when he took over, and to where they are now is nothing sort of fantastic. I hope they turn Valenica over in both games and keep the Eurpoean dream going at the Britannia.

I think Blackburn will survive. As Steve Kean is a fairly inexpensive manager who keeps the owners happy, I think he'll stay.

Of the other 4 - it's anybody's guess. If pushed, I think I'd go for Wigan to pull out a few surprise results and just survive - they've been through this before, and keep going to the wire - I wouldn't put money on it though.

why on earth have you sacked your best manager, you are doomed to championship football. all the alternative managers have failed, why should they do any better at wolves. you are goung through a bad patch and your directors are all plonkers and need a good kicking.. you will look back soon on mick mccarthy as a manager who served his club well.

you plonkers, and don't come sniffing round graham turner he is happy where he is managing a grateful football cub. you plonkers
