Surely Peter Taylor ticks all the boxes to assist Barmby.

He has tremendous coaching experience, works well with young players, and obviously know Nick Barmby and the club and area.

Think he's currently managing some obscure country at the moment, and I realise there was a falling out with AP when he left, but surely thats all water under the bridge now.

Think it could be a good pairing.

If he was free, I'd say yes.

I wouldn't think it was going backwards - no more than it was appointing Horton for Brown. He's been there, done that - so he'd be able to warn Barmby of the potential pitfalls.

Trouble is, he only started managing Bahrain in July. No way we'd pay compo for an assistant.

Plus he'd try to convince Barmby to sign Junior Lewis.

good idea as he will have time on his hands after this season when the BBC lose the Football League Show programme.

myself, i would try and get Brian Horton back. Nobby was unlucky to lose his job when NP came in. He knows the club knows Nick. But i hear that the No.2 will be of Barmby's choosing so that indeed will be interesting when its known.
