Apparently, Hull City AFC are the 3rd best team at converting "shots" this season. This apparently flies in the face of popular opinion that we create lots of chances, but can't score in the proverbial house of ill-repute with an incentive wrapped pork surprise. http://talksport.com/football/premier-leagues-most-lethal-teams-revealed-13092361243?p=14 The link is however Talk****e, so it could be bunkum.
I think the reality is that we work great positions and never shoot at all, which makes those stats a little misleading. For example, Graham had a few great chances on Saturday, but the header was the only when where he got a proper shot off, a dodgy touch or Fryatt-esque taking too many touches stopped him from getting shots off on the other occasions.
By that formulae, if we'd had just one shot at goal across the 5 matches played so far but had scored we would rank no 1 with 100% ratio. Still.... being level on points with Man U after 5 games is an equally false but fantastic statistic.
