Anything Big Sam can say Dan Burn can say better. A year ago today (9th February 2014) Dan hit the headlines when he likened our match against Manchester United to when he played in the Conference. That day United lumped a grand total of 81 crosses into our box. As you’ll recall the game ended 2-2; neither of the United goals coming from headers - of course. We had taken the lead in the first half from a superb Steve Sidwell volley and equalised in stoppage time thanks to a goal from substitute Darren Bent. Only one year ago today - who’d have thought it? And who’d have thought then, that within one week Rene Meulensteen would have gone?? And of the team that Rene put out that day, who’d have thought then, that only one year later only one of them, apart from Dan, would be still at the Club.??? And who’d have thought then, that Ryan Tunnicliffe would be that player???? please log in to view this image
I was there that day with five other Fulham fans enjoying corporate hospitality and being very fortunate to have the box behind our Fulham fans. It is just as well those boxes are sound proof when Darren Bent scored his equaliser. Good day out.
